Maria is a gifted optician! Not only does she have a knack for choosing frames that fit and flatter one’s face, she adjusts glasses like no one else! I had a pair of glasses that were essentially unwearable (bought from a chain) after numerous adjustments. They were wearable in minutes with Maria’s help. Best optician around!

I just stopped by to get tighten my eyeglasses frames and stop it from slip off my nose. Super wonderful, very professional, very helpful person helped me. (I guess she was ‘Maria’)

I bought 3 pairs of glasses this year and was not able to use any as they were too heavy and uncomfortable. I then decided to go to moda after reading other reviews and found Maria to be exceptionally professional and helpful. Not only did she find me the perfect pair of glasses that I can use but also helped me fix the other pairs that I had bought at other stores. She has gone out of the way to make me comfortable. I highly recommend going to her as she has a wonderful selection of frames as well as great service.

I’m a two year customer and I’ve been there many times within this time period. Both the assistant Lena and the owner Maria were more than courteous to me. I have yet another new faboulous pair of glasses, purchased this week. Maria knows what fits your face. She is a 20 year plus veteran optician. I’m getting TONS of compliments on my new glasses and sending more referrals. This shop is primo. They sell «jewelry for your face!» I’m upset by negative comments here because THEY ARE NOT VALID, in my humble opinion… I LOVE MODA OPTIC!!!

FABULOUS selection of cool & interesting frames! Plus, Maria had a knack for seeing which frames might work with my face and features, AND she knows how to make sure her customers are happy.
Maria helped me pick out some gorgeous frames — unfortunately, there was a design flaw, and they broke about a month later. Maria’s actions in the situation won her a customer for life. I picked out another stunning pair of frames, and she made sure she had the lenses ready so she could finish them for me right then. I highly recommend Moda! :-D

I went in looking to work with Maria. She was busy so while waiting she asked the other woman working to help me.
I can not stress this enough she was awful. Did not introduce herself. Did ask me if I would like help. When expressing that I was looking for something specific, she basically told me I was wrong.
I am 4 feet 10 inches with a small frame. I have been wearing glasses since I was 15 I am now 50. I know exactly what size frame I want PETITE! Do not tell me a size 52 frame will fit me comfortably if I want something closer to a 47÷17÷135. Yes every frame is different but either you have petite frames or not. Everything she pulled out was large. Her customer service skills were extremely lacking.
While I was there Maria did come near me so she immediately gave me a small frame to try. That is the only reason for two stars.
Lesson learned go in and only work with Maria.
I immediately drove somewhere else in Potomac and amazing they had petite frames.

This is as good as it gets for optical stores.
They dont pressure you into anything and they have the best selection of frames in the area.
The store itself is beautiful and has a HUGE parking deck behind the building you can use for FREE!
I listen to Maria and Lena’s advice and now get daily complements about my eyewear. Will shop there again for my prescription sunglasses.

Moda Optic has a beautiful selection of high quality glasses and sunglasses that you will not find in other shops in the metropolitan area. You will receive the BEST in client care from Maria… she is stylish, sweet and dedicated to helping you find the best frames. I’ve referred many friends to Moda and consensus is that there is no comparable store out there to what Moda (and Maria) can provide for you.

We have been going to Maria for years when she worked at Apex. Apex refused to tell us where she went. After several bad experiences at Apex, we finally found out that Maria opened her own store and quickly followed. She has a great selection of adult and kids glasses. If you don’t see what you like, she is happy to get it for you or allow you to bring in your own frames and make lens for you. She has great taste and will honestly tell you her opinion and help you find a nice frame you are happy with. She does great adjustments. The store is very child friendly as Maria is a mom and very warm and friendly. The glasses are a bit on the pricier side as she doesn’t get the volume discount but the service is worth the extra cost.

Local, upscale small business offering large variety of most recent high fashion eyeglass frames for adults and children. Maria, the owner and her staff provide personalized service that I have not experienced in any other optical store in the Washington metro area.

Moda is one of the best upscale optical stores in the Washington metro area. Maria, the owner, provides quality, personalized service that probably isn’t matched by too many other optical places in Washington.
