Meridian At Grosvenor Station

When I moved in the management was excellent: cordial, attentive, and responsive to tenants’ needs. The security at the desk is generally pleasant and helpful, and the building and grounds are beautiful. Good proximity to metro. But the turnover a few years ago in management has resulted in a string of new office hires, and the general attitude of office staff toward tenants’ concerns now ranges from apathy to outright hostility. General issues to beware of, given the price you will be paying and the regular rent hikes, include unsanitary building conditions and unhealthy conditions (e.g. a new cut in weekend staff that results in regular garbage overflowing from the chute and new 95+ degree temperatures in the garage in the summer and new random garbage in stairwells that goes untended for weeks). I have experienced other seriously hazardous conditions in my apartment, one not repaired for over a year until I took my complaints to the umbrella company.

The building is nice, but overpriced for what you get. The retail space consists of a dentist office, law firm, and market with several spaces that have been empty for quite some time. There’s literally nothing nearby that’s worth the price. The leasing office is entirely incompetent and will require hand holding to get anything accomplished. You must go pester them daily as they will not respond to emails.

I’ve lived here since May and I have not had any complaints yet. The maintenance requests are responded to quickly. The pool, club house, gym and other common areas are kept very clean. The staff is very friendly. I do not hear any noises unless someone is talking right in front of my door. There is always parking available. (One downside is there isn’t parking for guests. However, street parking is free and ample on the weekends as well as week days after 6pm. There is also a metro parking garage where parking is $ 5/​day. In addition there are tons of shopping malls around here where cars can be left.) I have the 1br&den and live with my boyfriend and cat and it works well for us. The kitchen is enormous. I work in Georgetown and he works in Germantown and we have about 20 – 30 minute commutes that are all highway as this place is minutes from both 270 and 495. We are also close to various shopping areas but set apart from all the traffic. We actually have a view of a forest! There is a park nearby with a nice paved trail. We are also close to the Bethesda Trolley Trail. The building includes a convenience store that is great for things you might forget at the store. They also have wine and beer and some produce. They have long hours which is great. There is also a dentist in who we plan on seeing as he has great rating. Last, but not least, we are on top of the Grovesnor Metro Station. That makes going out at night or commuting super easy! Its a 2 minute walk from the back door! If you can swing the price and this is a good location I say do it! We shopped around and didn’t find anything that compared to this.

I looked at this place a few years ago when I was apartment hunting, and this was brand new, and honestly, I found it way over-​priced for it’s worth. It’s a tall, beautiful complex. It has nice amenities. But for the price they want, you could find better.
Here are some reasons I didn’t rent here
* The gym is super small
* It’s near the Avalon, which gets tons of break-​ins
* It’s way, way, over priced
* The rooms are small
So, although right by the metro, it wasn’t worth it for me.

Leasing office and staff are not helpful. Some staff may be friendly but they aren’t good at their jobs. They sign for packages that they didn’t actually get off the delivery truck, so items get lost and they blame you. If a package says perishable they will not notify you until it starts to smell and is rotten. And then they don’t even apologize. The apartment is nice, the pool and club room are ok, but the gym is very small and some equipment does not work well or squeeks and sounds like it will break. the tv they tell you works on the machines does not. Indoor garage parking is nice, but they never close the garage door so the security of the garage that you pay for is useless as anyone could come in who does not belong. No complaints on maintenance personnel.

Dormatory style life … Very very very small apartments. In the end close to metro. I couldnt decide what to do…
