History

Established in 2010.

Lumina starts in 2010 at Visionary Ophthalmology with Dr. Martinez offering IPL’s treatment and customized facials. Starting 2015 Cecilia Galeano, the only esthetician at Dr’s Martinez for 5 years bought the business and she continue doing customized facials, microdermabrasion, mineral makeup, retail products and cold laser treatments. Cecilia got amazing reviews from Yelp and Groupon.

Lumina is located inside of Symmetry Salon Studios in Rockville, MD, is a new salon and spa concept that is locally owned and managed by stylists and spa professionals.

Symmetry features elegant salon and spa suites in chic locations. At Symmetry they help talented stylists and spa professionals own their own businesses while providing a sophisticated but friendly and welcoming atmosphere for clients who want the highest level of service.

We also have a nice waiting area with Free WiFi for the clients.

Meet the Business Owner

Cecilia G.

Business Owner

Educated and certified in Maryland at Steiner Education Group in Esthetics in 2009.

Cecilia Galeano has been practicing esthetics for over five years in the Washington DC area, and has experience working along-​side a General Surgeon and Ophthalmologist doctors doing IPL and laser services for over four years.

She holds several certifications in esthetic skin-​care as well as hands-​on experience with acne treatment, anti-​aging management, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation and rosacea.

Cecilia was born in Argentina where people take their skin and body care seriously. It is preferred by many to use the highest quality natural ingredients derived from fresh organic fruits, vegetables, flowers and mineral spring waters in every day skin care and health regiments.

Today she is a licensed esthetician in Maryland and Virginia. In addition, she is certified in IPL and Lasers, cold laser and also microdermabrasion.
