Just Write Studios is a full time calligraphy studio in the DC area specializing in wedding and special event calligraphy. Most days are spent addressing envelopes, filling in place cards and designing invitations, menus and seating charts. We are experts in hand engraving crystal, glass and metal. Just Write Studios engraves everything from the finest Orrefors, Kosta Boda, Waterford, Swarovski, Simon Pierce, and Mariposa to tools, knives, golf clubs and fishing reels. Brides love our engraving for their toasting flutes, cake servers, knives and attendants gifts. A large portion of our studio work is done while you wait, so you can witness the magic for yourself. Hi, my name is Jenny Muffler and I’ve been a professional calligrapher for 8 years. I specialize in envelope addressing, place cards, escort cards, invitation and menu design. I live in the DC area with my husband Rick (also a professional calligrapher) and our two chihuahuas (both named after famous calligraphers). We love beautiful lettering and feel blessed to be able to share it with others.

We used Jenny for our daughter’s Nov. 7th Wedding and we couldn’t have been happier with the quality of her work. She did a mirrored welcome and signature drink signs. We loved her work so much we decided to ask her to do a mirrored seating chart. Jenny was out of town when we reached out to her not only did she agree to do it on short notice but was nice enough to pick up a mirror for us so we didn’t have to drive from Northern Virginia to Rockville. We were so grateful and can’t thank Jenny enough her work is amazing! She is absolutely our go to calligrapher.

When planning our wedding, I knew I wanted our seating chart to be a statement piece. My stationer came up with the brilliant idea of having a giant framed panel set in a box filled with hydrangeas and roses. All we needed was an exceptional calligrapher to make our vision come to life. Enter Jenny. She understood our concept immediately and delivered a final product that was more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined (pictured)! When I walked in to our wedding, I was absolutely speechless. I got the «statement» I was hoping for and so much more. It definitely set the tone for the rest of the night. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about it!
Jenny did such an amazing job with the seating chart, we also asked her to do our menus (pictured). They were simply stunning! If you’re looking for a wedding calligrapher who will go above and beyond for you, Jenny is your girl. We can’t thank her enough for incredible work she did for us!

Wow – Jenny was GREAT! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with using a calligrapher… mostly not sure how long it would take. Jenny was sooo easy to work with. She had so many fantastic «fonts» to pick from… we are soo happy with the end result. She accommodated our busy schedule allowing us to drop off our invitations early. She was flexible when we added a few addresses after sending her our main list. I couldn’t believe our 70ish invitations were done in 3 days… maybe it was 2. It was fast! Our invitations looked so classy and were the perfect final elegant touch to achieve the look and feel we wanted. Oh… and the price was GREAT! Totally worth it!!! I highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking to make their invitations set the right tone for their big day!

Jenny addressed my save-​the-​date postcards for my wedding, and even squeezed me in somewhat last-​minute! She will be addressing my invitations in January also. Her work is gorgeous and I got a lot of compliments on how the postcards looked! I live in Washington, DC, so it was easy to drop off and pick up the save-​the-​dates at her home in Rockville, MD. She even popped my corrections in the mail for me so I wouldn’t have to go back up to Rockville (I sent her some stamps). Very professional, timely and helpful!
