Hair Cuttery

What a cluster. Staff is disorganized, to put it mildly. No one knows in what order to take people, due to haphazard check in that involves a combination of: computer check in, sign up sheet, and nothing. When one of the gals finally did try to check me into the computer, she seemed more concerned with trying to identify me in the company database than in making sure I got in the queue correctly. When my turn came, the next gal asked me how I wanted my hair cut, despite the fact I had already told the first gal I wanted a wash and blow dry.
Next up, a thousand interruptions. My service was repeatedly interrupted by dealing with a leaky ceiling, answering every customer query that walked in, and trying to sort out who was next in the queue. Start the dryer, stop the dryer, yell at others over the din, leave me with a face full of wet hair, repeat.
All of these problems would have been precluded by having a designated receptionist. Needless to say, I don’t plan to return.

My one and only favorite hair stylist in this salon is Talee. Fast, professional, relaxed and the best part is that I can explain exactly what I want, not fearing of hurting anyone’s ego. Every visit I’m happy with her blow dry and cut.

This is the worst possible shop you can find anywhere! Hopeless people, ridiculous management and utter waste of time! To cut my hair that can take 5 minutes I spent 1 hour.

Horrific!
I entered «Hair Cuttery Rockville» into my phone expecting the Congressional Plaza location I used to frequent as a teen but was led to this god forsaken place. I wasn’t even going to my usual stylist in Germantown because I was short on time.
I asked for a «wash and style» which is a pretty typical request for a salon. This confused the stylist, and she dabbled on the computer for a few minutes before she figured it out. I should have scrammed right there. All the «stylists» had bad if not downright terrible hair which is indicative of their «skill» level. Never trust a stylist with bad hair.
First off, she was scratching my scalp with her nasty long nails. That is DISGUSTING. The sensation was terrible and it hurt, I was afraid of getting Hepatitis just from getting my hair washed, but I’m too socially awkward to ask her to quit it.
When she asked me how I wanted it done, I said blow-​dried with a ROUND brush and straightened with a flat iron– she told me the flat iron was extra so I went with blow dry only. She grabs a FLAT brush and my hair currently looks like crap. Not to mention, she brushes so hard I’m sure she pulled a few hairs out and continued to frisk my scalp with her claws. When all was said and done, she applied this musty product to my hair that makes me smell like an Indian man. I look like a broom and smell like an indian man, fantastic.
If I knew my hair wouldn’t react badly to being washed twice in a row, I’d wash out this product in a heartbeat. I was charged the wash and cut price. Needless to say, so much regret.

Please get rid of jenn she’s to old she messed up my hair and left it uneven

I went here for a blowout and was told on the phone it would be $ 18. I get to the salon and she tells me it will be an extra $ 10 bc I have long hair. The blow out looks so bad, I ask for a little bit of flat iron and she tells me it will be an extra $ 12! Absurd! This is the hair cuttery, not the Dry Bar in Bethesda. Never again will I make the mistake of coming to this awful salon with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The hair dresser, Lucy, took multiple personal calls on her phone while I was there. She ripped me off and truly doesn’t know what she’s doing. Stay away! P. S. The salon is filthy with hair all over the chairs, counters, floor and I was the first customer there in the morning.

THE WORST! Please don’t make the mistake I did and go here. I got one of the worst mens haircuts ever! Sun does not know how to cut hair. The back was crooked and one whole side of my head she forgot to cut until I told her it was uneven. She then had the nerve to tell me that everyone has one side of their head that has thicker hair. WTF?! Please please do not go here! Especially if you need a mens cut with clippers. You’ll be sorry.
