I really like this dentist. Very attentive and even-​keeled and has a very calm demeanor, which is very good for my kids. The office runs well and we have received excellent care from him for my two boys.

In all fairness, Dr. Horng and his dental hygienist were great with my kids. They eased their nerves for their first ever appointment.
1-​star because whoever told me they were in network lied. I know how I make my appointments. If they are in network, I go. If they are not, I don’t. They told me they were in network and then will bill the insurance. If there is anything more owed, they would contact me. That was kind of confusing because check ups and cleanings are all covered by the insurance. I thought to myself if there was something extra and beyond the covered expenses, that they would let me know. For less than $ 50 a child, they lost a client, future referrals, and earned this review.
Just be sure you ask and ask and ask and then ask one more time to make sure they are in network. The dentist is good, but not so good that I would go out of network and pay out of pocket.

I WILL NOT recommend this doctor to anyone, EVER!!! He’s RUDE, impatient and grumpy. I can’t believe he’s a pediatric dentist. No bedside manner at all. He’s TERRIBLE!!! The staff were nice. Too bad I can’t pick ½ star for this review. I won’t give him a star if I would. The only reason that I kept taking all my 3 boys to this practice was because it’s only for cleaning every 6 month and I always picked Fridays when he was off. Now the doctor who’s used to take care of my children (she was AWESOME by the way) moved to another practice, no more reasons for us to stay. I’m glad I finally can leave!!!

I am shocked to see any bad reviews of this practice. I have been taking my kids here every six months since my kids were 2 (they are 11 now) and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is super nice and helpful, Dr. Horng does a great job and explains everything to me and my kids in a wonderful way, and the suite is clean and sanitary. I would recommend this practice to anyone. Of course, my kids do take great care of their teeth (1 cavity total between the two of them, and that was 6 years or so ago). Maybe some of the negative reviews are from people whose kids don’t care for their teeth properly anyway and would «hate» any dentist. I don’t know. But for me and my kids, we love this place!

This practice has pros and cons. Pros: new tooth brush, floss and toothpaste at every visit. Honestly it saves me time and money every six months in purchasing a new toothbrush for my little one. Their front desk people are sweet. (mostly just the American lady) Cons: Dental assistants in the back are rude. (only another American lady who actually takes her time with the cleaning & talks sweet to the kids). Being late is a BIG issue in this practice. They will give you ish if you are late, EVEN though every time you have previously come in, you’ve been ON TIME. Like, I get it, it messes up your schedule but what office doesn’t have the flexibility for that? It’s called being PREPARED. something every doctors’ office should have. I think they like to cram appts every 15 mins. I don’t think they make much with every kid because of insurance so to me it seems like money is the goal here.
Dr. Horng is very settle, doesn’t conversate much. He is quick to point out the flaws (brush more often, floss floss floss!) than complimenting you on what progress you are making. This office is okay. not top notch and not crappy. Just in between.
