These gentlemen went the extra mile to fix a CD changer that the dealer said would have to be replaced. The price they charged was reasonable and everyone was as nice as could be. I would recommend this place.

I had some work done on my Rubi and got my off road lights wired. They did the work but the lights went out a little later. Life got the better of me and I got too busy and didn’t get back until a year later. When I took it back, I fully expected them to tell me to «go pound sand» as it had been too long since they did the work… Nope. They took it right in and kept working until all problems solved. No hassle, no backtalk, just solutions.
I’ll be coming back the next time I need any more work done. These guys really stand behind their work and I’m really impressed.

Was referred here by a friend. and some gentleman named Fidel worked on my car great guy great customer service he knew exactly what he was doing. everything was clean and the install of my indash looked like it came from factory. they also installed remote start, and subwoofers… I wouldn’t go anywhere else this place is definitely the spot for any car installations… thanks a lot for hooking me up and taking care of my vehicle will be returning soon!!!

I was referred to this place by a friend who is friends with owner. I paid for a viper alarm with this guy and was told that I would be receiving a call when it came in but that phone call never happened. After some time I tried to contact the owner and was told that he knows nothing of me paying for the alarm system. I understand that it may be a little slow for his shop but stealing from your customers?
If it comes down to prepaying with this shop be weary.

Wonderful! Everyone here is so nice, and professional. It is also a black owned business, which is a very good look! They installed my subwoofer in under 2 hours, and were very knowledgeable throughout. They were able to get me an appointment 2 – 3 days out. The price was right, and I’m loving my subs!

I’m actually reasonably knowledgeable about car stereo upgrades and electronics — but I’m also in my 40’s now and not as eager as I used to be to tear into a car or truck and struggle to run and hide wiring, fight with ground loop problems and everything else that comes with the territory.
So when I bought a new Jeep Rubicon last year and realized the «premium Alpine» sound system I paid thousands for was hardly worth ¹⁄₁₀^th. of its cost, I was on a mission to learn how to improve it without spending a fortune. I learned a lot from the Jeep message forums around the Internet and tried to do all of the «low hanging fruit» cheap upgrades and fixes myself. (Everything from swapping the factory sound-​bar speakers with a $ 100-​ish pair of Infinity substitutes that worked well with the low wattage of the factory amp to stuffing some poly-​fill in the sound-​bar enclosure, and soldering different value capacitors on to the factory front dash tweeters so they’d actually start firing at a reasonable frequency cut-​off point.)
But you know how car audio is… Once you start, it’s tough to settle for «now ok, instead of bad». You want to keep shooting for more. I knew I was looking at bypassing the factory amp and getting a good 7-​channel amp installed to power everything. But the wiring involved was starting to look a little daunting. So figured it was time to call a shop to do a pro install of that part. Absolute was the only shop in a 50 mile radius of my house that basically said, «Sure… drop it on by this afternoon.» when I called. The other guys were «all booked solid for at least a month», or only had their car guys available on a certain day, every other week … stuff like that. You’d think most «car audio» shops in the Frederick or MoCo area don’t actually WANT any more business.
Now, to be honest? I’m taking 1 star off this review because I think these guys gouge a little bit on the accessories. (EG. My install involved a PAC audio harness so the factory stereo could output RCA level signals to the amp. I can buy this part every day on eBay or Amazon, or even discount car stereo shops’ web sites for maybe $ 60 – 65. Absolute wanted to charge full MSRP pricing of $ 149.99 for it, and I had to wait a few days for the part to come in.) But other than that, they did good work and recommended a good, solid choice for an amp (JL Audio).
I think the bottom line is – Absolute Electronix will get the job done and steer you in the right direction if you lack knowledge on how to do what you want. If you have more knowledge and just don’t want to tackle the work yourself, there are probably other shops that you’d have a better experience with — but not likely any in this area. (I could be wrong, but just judging by the one experience I had working with these guys — I felt like the installers like to do things «their way», vs. entertaining much discussion on alternatives. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because they have years of experience and «their way» should be a perfectly good way to get things accomplished. But if you’re into car audio, you know that most things have literally dozens of possible solutions and if YOUR plan butts heads with the tried and true method these guys prefer, you might not be 100% pleased.)

Absolute Electronix did an amazing job on my car. The staff was excellent. The owner of the company, Ata, was absolutely a pleasure working with. They went above and beyond for me. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone! Excellent service!

Absolute Electronics was able to make my keys for the remote starter operable at no charge after they were improperly installed by Hot Tint. Also, they were able to reconfigure the wirings to coordinate my remote starter with the lights to make it more visual for a minimal fee. The staff was sincere, honest, effective and friendly.

Excellent personalized service. I have no clue about car audio systems, but the original car stereo in my 13 y/​o Toyota Avalon was basically unusable due to a blown subwoofer and lots of rattles. I saw the great reviews of Absolute Electronix on Unilocal and decided to go there. It is a small shop in an automotive strip mall. Chris helped me pick out a great system based on my listening habits. There was definitely no ‘hard sell’. The installation was customized and clean. These guys really seem to know and care about cars and it shows. After the install, Chris sat with me and went over the system and made sure I was happy.

By far the best car stereo shop around. I’ve had multiple head units, alarms, remote starts, backup camera, window tint, and probably some other things I’m forgetting installed by Ata and Absolute Electronix over the years. He even did a full trunk in my Integra back in the 90s. Don’t go to Best Buy. Support a local business. Their work ethic, sales advice and personal attention to detail is unparalleled. I live 90 minutes away but I won’t take my cars to anyone else.

I wanted to be able to use my iPod in the car. My Toyota had a DVD based nav system. Updated DVDs were around $ 170 – can use my phone for directions much cheaper! Chris, the manager, suggested a new audio system for me that was reasonable in price. The tech who installed it was fantastic. He even suggested I hold onto the factory installed system in case I eventually wanted to sell my car and the buyer wanted original parts. Nine months later, I had a minor problem with the new system. I went to AE and Chris tried his best to fix it and eventually said they would order me a replacement. When the replacement arrived, it only took about 5 minutes to pop in the new one. I have recommended AE to friends for their many services.

I was having problems picking out good sounding door speakers.
I installed aftermarket speakers myself, but they ended up sounding worse than the stock ones.
I wanted something loud. Loud enough so that I could hear every note, while cruising, with the windows down on the highway.
I wasn’t very familiar on how to pair up stock stereo with aftermarket equipment.
They offered Great products, and I ended up getting more things than just door speakers.
Good customer service. Told me exactly what I needed.
The place is pretty small, hard to see from the street, and very low key.
Not much of a waiting area, except for the tv with satellite control.
But when It comes to me getting things done for my car, I don’t expect to be sitting on a red velvet chair and served champagne.
I will most certainly come back and highly recommend

I stopped by here on a whim to ask about having a new Bluetooth installed in my 2006 mercury mariner. They quoted me a reasonable price completed the work on time as promised and did a great job! Very professional!

Shop is a little strange when viewed from the outside, but, its a car shop, so not sure what I expected.
I worked with Chris and couldn’t be more happy with the overall results.
Bottom line, they gave me exactly what I wanted and didn’t try to «upsell» me into something I didn’t need. I added on services (Window Tinting) specifically because they didn’t try to give me the hardsell.
The job was completed on time and on budget. They cleaned up after themselves and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
My first attempt at customizing a car stereo and Ata and Chris made it as painless as possible.

Great installers — very customer service oriented

Cool place! Was having trouble with my SiriusXM connection and another installer could not fix the issue so I found these guys via Google and noticed the good reviews.
I knocked one star off for two reasons: wait time and the diagnostic fee.
I’m not sure that these guys do appointments, you just walk in and wait until it’s done. I arrived at 2PM but the car wouldn’t be done until around 5:30−6PM due to others before me so you might want to ask a friend to be on standby to pick you up if there’s a timely wait.
For them to even look in your car is a $ 60 diagnostic fee. Sticker shock! I thought the price was a little high but I don’t have a lot of experience in these shops and maybe this is a common practice.
Anyway, you get what you pay for and I was satisfied with the work and they were pretty accommodating.
PROTIP: the young Asian male installer is an awesome, talented dude. Thanks for your kindness and great attitude.

I decided to use Absolute Electronix after checking the vendors suggested by Viper. I spoke with other shops who had decent reviews on Unilocal but what really cinched it for me was speaking with AE directly. They were honest about the challenges with my vehicle and what it would take to complete my requests. They gave me their cell number and even called me on their day off to answer more questions (if you can’t tell yet, I am a difficult customer). I have had my vehicle back for 2 weeks and I am thrilled. The system works flawlessly and my tinting doesn’t have a single bubble.
I rarely give 5 stars but this shop earned!
