Rockport Inn and Suites

Very nice hotel. The room was laid out like it was a small townhouse with the bed room upstairs and everything else down. The pool and jacuzzi area was very clean and warm so you didn’t freeze when you got out of the pool. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive into down town which is filled with shops (most are shut till the spring though). I would definitely stay here again.

This place is nice and clean. The indoor pool area is spacious with plenty of seating and clean towels. Nice hot tub! We went during the winter and the place was dead, which is what we like. I’m sure it’s wicked busy during the summer. It’s secure, all doors need a key card, plenty of parking. The breakfast was ok, your basic bagels, fruit, coffee, sausages, and all the other continental breakfast goodies. The dining room was huge, has booths and tables. Staff was very nice. Only problem we had was the mini fridge was broken, so our snacks didn’t make it thru the night and our drinks were warm, but you can’t have everything. If it weren’t for the ice machine I would have been more upset. I recommend this place to everyone.

Went there for a family wedding, all the staff there were very friendly people. The family had set up the dining room for an after party, that was great no complaints there at all. They should prob invest In a bar there at the hotel, would make alot of money that way!!! I was late for breakfast one morning and the guy there told me he could get me some food from the back (how nice right?) I had left a whole drawer of my cloths there and didn’t realize it until I unpacked after the flight. I called up there and spoke with missy. She got my name and number, checked with housekeeping, called me back and told me they had my cloths and would ship them to me! Totally made my day!!! I would recommend this place due to great customer service and a pretty staff that wasn’t afraid to smile!!!

The place is fairly nice, but we walked into our room and immediately noticed a funny smell. We were also given a handicap accessible room, which we didn’t ask for or want and they weren’t fully booked so it wasn’t like it’s all they had for us. The water pressure was sporadic. Like someone else said, it’s just an overpriced motel basically. Slightly nicer than a Days Inn, but not quite worth what you pay. There is ZERO counter space in the bathroom. But on the positive side, they have a decent breakfast.

Ehh, its an overpriced motel. Sticky tables and weird layout. It looks like it got a 50 percent upgrade when it should’ve gone for the full 100. Too bad because it has potential to be nice.

Horrendous customer service at this hotel. I called Friday afternoon regarding a room block for my wedding and the associate took down my information and assured me the 7 remaining rooms will be available to me and the manager MISSY will be calling me back the next day.
Saturday– No call back from management
Sunday morning I call and a different associate told me the manager stepped off the property and will be returning shortly and she will call me.
Monday 11 am I have to call AGAIN and ask for a manager and MISSY answers the phone with a huge attitude as if I am bothering her while she is at work! Wow imagine that.
She rudely tells me that she handles business monday-​friday and that the 7 rooms the first associate told me I can have are no longer available to me and tough luck and nothing she can do. I ask if she can honor the room block and she gives me a flat out no with her annoyed tone. Where is the HOSPITALITY? A rude condescending manager of a hotel makes NO SENSE. The right thing would have to apologized for NEVER calling back and honored the room block, that is what a manager would do! I know because I am one.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel last summer when we did a fun weekend in Rockport and Salem. We could walk to the center of town, which was great. We were traveling without a car, so convenience was our biggest concern. We walked there from the commuter rail!
The place was clean and the staff was very helpful. They called us a cab the morning we left (we were heading off to do a Cape Ann whale watch!). I recommend it if you can find a good deal!

My boyfriend and I visited Rockport for a little weekend getaway and this was the hotel we chose. We were extremely impressed with the king suite, it was like our own little townhouse with an upstairs. Not your average suite that usually has the bed and living room all on one floor. Everything was extremely clean the the furniture was modern and comfortable. Parking was right outside the room so it was very convenient. The staff was friendly and we loved exploring the Rockport area.

Marriot style room with good clean furnishings. Pool nice qnd clean. Standard hotel continental breakfast. Really grossly overpriced… but then everything is overpriced in the area. We paid 199 for a high season Sat night stay, but got 4k points for the stay… we were put in the «other building» which I had to hike from to get ice or soda. I would return if it were a better priice… like 70 bucks or so. Wifi sucked and this area is 3G. But this was not worth more than $ 75 or so… except every hotel in the area is $ 200 or more. Goddamn perfect storm bullshit. Also, thin walls… I could hear our neighbors conversatiins as they walked up outside to their rooms… then as they opened and closed their door next to us I could really make out what they are saying. Apparently tourists here really thought the crows nest was right by the water, but really enjoyed eating at Captain Carlos and then he, several times accidentally, pulled her hair while having sex.

We loved the clean rooms and well maintained property. The pool area is great with a big patio! Our daughters didn’t want to get out of the pool! Very convenient to great restaurants and the beach. Complementary breakfast in the morning included. The beds are like sleeping on clouds! My whole family, including Vinny our dog, can’t wait to go back! Looking forward to sitting in the colorful Adirondacks this summer!

Pros: The inn is very reasonably priced and it is very pet friendly. I loved the Indoor heated pool and hot tub, especially in winter. The fitness center outdoor tennis courts are a plus. The room was big; amenities include refrig, microwave and Kurig coffee maker. The breakfast that was included.
Cons: About a 20 – 30 min walk to center of town. The breakfast that was include, consistent of toast/​English muffin, coffee, juice, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and cereal. I think there was sausage but we missed it. Apparently they make one batch and once it goes that is it. Breakfast is served 7 – 10 and we were there at 8:30 no sausage or waffles.

— Not a whole lot… except one minor complaint. The hotel rooms could use a vacuuming. We stayed in 2 different hotel rooms over the 4 days and 3 nights. In both rooms in the corners, I saw spider-​webs… but the rooms were still clean otherwise
Would I come back and stay here? Heck yes!

What a great find! Comfy, cozy room. Hot tub and pool worked. Great bfast. Would go back.

We had a suite. It was nice. Mostly clean except for the huge hair ball that I found in the bedroom upstairs and the cover of a shaving razor. The King size bed and pillows were soooooooooo comfortable. I heard the pool was good.
Heard breakfast was lame.

Spent one night there because it was the cheapest we could find close to a wedding. The mold smell was very bad and we had to leave the doors and windows open to get fresh air. We had already changed rooms once due to the noise. It is probably nice if you have pets, but the rooms we had were simply «okay.»

We needed a place that could accommodate a little yorkie. I expected a pet-​friendly place to maybe be just a little more «used» looking, b ut this establishment was a very pleasant surprise. Furnishings, linens, etc. all immaculate and up-​to-​date. We used the pool, it was refreshing after our road trip. The free breakfast is a nice addition. Staff really aims to please. No complaints – will def stay again!

Completely overpriced. Rude staff that was not in the least accommodating. We paid $ 170 a night for a run of the mill hotel room. Bathrooms were small and musty. The room had a chemical smell when we walked in. The front desk told us that the hotel was booked the following night (weds) so we cut our stay short. I asked for a late check out so we could shower after the beach and was told no. We ended up staying by the pool there and when we left at 4 pm our room still had not been cleaned! I was refered here by another hotel and would not ever go back!

What I liked about this place was how spacious the room was and the bed was very comfortable. Also, I appreciated the internet access.
What I didn’t like so much was how tiny the bathroom was and I was hoping for a slightly bigger bathtub. Also, since it’s a pet friendly place I woke up with horrible allergies, they really need to make sure that anyone who might stay there does not have allergies and if they do give them the option of a pet-​free room.

We spent Labor Day weekend at the Rockport Inn & Suites. At first we were a bit disappointed upon check-​in. The room didn’t seem to resemble the website pictures at all.
After opening the curtains we decided that while the room was smaller than what we anticipated based on the sunny suite-​pics on the website it was accurate. The bed was fairly new and comfortable and it was clear to this former hotel-​sales-​gal that the rooms had been renovated top to bottom within the past year.
This is a motel style property that does it’s best to make you feel at home. We only ate breakfast at the property once — the water in our room (and that was used to make the coffee) tasted/​smelled of sulpher. That could be a result of the Hurricane passing by, the water tables or something else — but we bought a large pack of bottled water to ensure we could brush our teeth and wash our faces. It was worth a short drive and additional fee to head to Dunkin’ Donuts for coffee.
You’re only a 15 minute walk to Rockport’s seaport and shopping — great food and great views! and no more than a 15 minute drive to Gloucester’s happenings.
Overall, for a holiday weekend the price was good and aside from the water issue — the room was quite accommodating.
The pool and outdoor deck made the evenings great (all they need is a fire pit and you’re golden!)
If you’re in Rockport, this is a sweet little spot.

Man, this place was a deal… brand new, nice sized rooms, microwave, fridge, flat screens, free breakfast, a pool! Not sure if you could walk to the shops and such, maybe if it was a nice day out…
I reccomend, especially for the price! Check in, and out was super fast.
