Owner and founder, Nina Ragan is the best and has been a teacher and is often asked to appear at conferences for demonstrations. Ultimate Image is all about customer satisfaction and quality. I have alopecia and when I first had to find a wig I was very nervous, sad, and anxious. I found the Ultimate Image Studio and the girl there was very nice and helpful. I spent over $ 1,700 on two wigs (one ½ real and the other synthetic). First of all they do not have a variety of wigs to show, then after choosing the ½ real-​½ fake hair wig I wanted, she made a mold of my head (nobody ever told me that this is not necessary-​the wigs do come with an adjustable band). Having them make a mold of my head did cost me extra because it was custom fit (again I thought this was just part of the process). In the end it took over 10 weeks for my custom hair to arrive and it cost me a little over $ 1,100. It lasted a while but they recommend you bring it in to wash/​condition it to maintain the life. One of the times I went in to get it «maintained», I saw a wig just lying there and asked how much it was (it was synthetic), it was about $ 600. I decided that was a great deal and purchased it As Is– she told me I didn’t have to get it custom– which then I felt like.hmm.why didn’t you tell me that with the first one. I didn’t want to ask her straight up about it because I didn’t think that there were many other wig places around so I didn’t want to make them mad. Anyhow, after about a month I called the owner and told her it was getting matted. I was all upset and she told me to bring it in and they would fix it. Little did I know that they would charge $ 25 to «fix it», basically I found out all they do is straighten it at a certain temperature-​something I can do myself at home for no cost, however, I was told by them that I couldn’t use any curlers, flat irons, or any heat.
I feel as though this place is a rip off and it is terrible that most of the people who come to Ultimate Image Studio actually have cancer and I truly feel like they are being taken advantage of at a very difficult time in their life. Save your money and look elsewhere. I actually found a place called Ebony Beauty Supply, closer to my home, wayyyyyyyy cheaper and I totally trust them.
