I was somewhat leary of making the trip here based on the negative reviews. However I saw a really cute bench on CL, so I ventured out.
While I didn’t get the item I went for (it was much larger then I judged, no way it was gonna fit in my car), I found a ton of great items all for beyond reasonable prices.
Among the treasures I found were, 2 cigar boxes, a flask, a burlap bag with really cool graphics, a purple Pyrex loaf dish, a bamboo laundry basket, an awesome vintage tin sign, and about 4 – 5 other goodies. Grand total = $ 15. I left pretty juiced over all the things I had snagged.
Is it a pristine and perfectly organized place? No, however if it was then I wouldn’t have gotten all I did for so cheap. They have a lot of quality items for low prices so if you don’t like getting your hands a bit dusty then go elsewhere and pay more, it’s really that simple.
As for customer service, the woman was very friendly, asked if we were looking for a particular item, and when we said we were just browsing, she cheerfully replied to just let her know if we had any questions and didn’t hound us or make us feel pressured which is a big plus to me.

Seller sent me a crockpot that did not work although advertised ‘new in box’ (on Ebay). I called as he requested and chose to hid behind Ebay’s 30 limit on returns… I had not used the crockpot within that 30 day time limit because I had to fly out of town due to a family member passing away from brain cancer… I guess I would have hoped that the bad timing of the family emergency would make a difference in obtaining a replacement or some kind of compensation. Nope! So when all was said and done he sold me a $ 89 non-​working crock pot! Not happy!

*UPDATE — Since the Owner replied and doubts the veracity of my story, I’ve included a screenshot of the brief text conversation from that day. And to Kerry: I understand that criticism is hard to take. I do. I’m in a service-​based profession as well, I can relate. No one enjoys it. But it would go a long way if you took accountability and apologized instead of becoming combative with those who leave negative reviews. And I mean that sincerely, no anger/​sarcasm. Good customer service is more about how you handle when things go wrong than it is about floating along when things are going well (hence the creation of a site like Unilocal). Oh, and it’s absurd of you to think a person can’t leave a review months after the event. Sometimes I don’t get around to it for a year; this doesn’t mean you can dismiss the review. Shitty service will be remembered be it four days, weeks, months or years. This I promise you. Yet somehow I doubt you’d have cared about the timeframe if my review had been a positive one…
I highly recommend you check out Yard House Roseville on here and see how they handle complaints and bad reviews. I was blown away with their response to a disappointing meal I had there one night so I came BACK onto Unilocal to share my 2^nd experience with the public after their upper management reached out to me to remedy the initial bad experience, and my rating went from one star to FIVE. Because they earned it, and I was happy to give it. Imagine if all of your negative reviewers were impressed with how you handled their complaints, EVEN IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH THEM. The longevity of your business depends on building this skill. C’mon man, you’re a consumer as well as a business owner, you should already know all of this. I seriously doubt you’d tolerate it if your server at IHOP snapped back at you with an attitude after you mentioned your pancakes were cold, so why treat us like this? What are you accomplishing, other than alienating business and taking money out of YOUR OWN POCKET.
You know as well as I do (or perhaps you honestly don’t) that more often than not a simple «I’m so sorry your experience with us was less than stellar. We’re still learning the ins and outs of this business, but I’ll take what you said and try to learn from it. Thanks for stopping by, and I encourage you to give us another shot in the future so you can see how your input helped us grow!» is all it takes to placate an irritated customer. Mind you, you don’t even have to agree with your apology, you can think it’s all bullshit, but you let the public, the people who help put food on your dinner table and can put you outta business LIKE THAT — especially in this economy — you let them believe they were heard and respected and that you valued their time/​money enough to acknowledge the situation and rectify it if at all possible. That’s how you grow your business, that’s how you build loyal customers and killer word of mouth… which, by the way, is more effective than any other forms of advertisement… then myself and the others who had poor experiences at your establishment would tell all our friends about this awesome antiques dealer who went out of his way to resolve a shitty experience we’d had and we’d insist they go see you for all of their vintage and antique picking. Instead, we will tell all of our friends and family that not only did we have a horrible experience with you, you then refused to accept responsibility for what happened and berated us for speaking up about it.

I finally visited Friday ⁵⁄₈ after knowing about this place for quite a while. My son and I found several items and I had a great time visiting with Fawn and talking about a lot of things. We had to wait for my daughter to come so we could take home a beautiful, solid wood, open bookcase. The book case was exceptional. If you like «junking» at garage sales, thrift stores, you will like this place as you never know what you will find. Sometimes you find something and sometimes you don’t. There were some feedbacks complaining about rudeness etc. but you have to be pleasant too! I was and I had a great fun.

I have been to this place several times. Always have found something I was looking for.
Owners are very helpful and nice.

Doesn’t honor prices posted on Craigslist. I walk out empty handed over $ 4 — based on principle. Most of the stuff belongs in a dumpster, probably because it’s likely been pulled out of a dumpster.

Hey, been there few times. Yes they adhere to timings, and window is small, since it looks like a family run place. Thous pricing is sometimes even cheaper to garage sales, nothing beats this place in pricing.
Take your time, be ready to go through the spread. Don’t accept frills, it’s a family run back yard.

This place is awesome. I got raiders hat, trash can, three pendents, sunglasses, and a dart board for 20 bucks. My aunt bought a desk for 10. I cant believe I never heard of this place. I definitely telling all my friends! Oh and by the way the staff was so kind. Its a family business. Our fellow Americans trying to make it by.

This place is a giant yard sale. You can get some great deals if you know what to look for. Basicly they buy a ton of storage units and liquidate it all out of a huge backyard. Yes there is a ton of dirty junk but that is why it is cheap. I own a décor boutique and we find really cool stuff here to fix up and sale. Yes the owners were a bit gruff at first but they ended up being pretty nice in the end. If you have a good eye and move quick this place is perfect for a picker.

The people are rude. They ignore emails and texts or respond with business hours. The place is filthy dirty and all the junk is broken. And… they have mice.

This place is like a junkyard yardsale. Most of the stuff sold here is dirty and in horrible condition. An ad posted in Craigslist said items were in working condition. When I bought the items they did NOT work. Not worth the trouble of going. Prices are ok but it does not make up for the quality and condition of the crap they sell. Also the owner is rude and condescending. Bad experience.

Kerry was super nice and very helpful. I bought close to 70 wine glasses for my wedding for cheap! Kerry gave me a huge box and lots of packing since I did not come prepared to make such a large purchase. This is definitely a place to go for hidden treasures!

The owner is rude and the stuff is crap. 2 stars because I found tea cups for 25 cents a piece.
