I have been stood up after ordering my blinds. I have called countless times with no response from Chris Kirby. Very disappointed. I’m going to share with their vendors because they are representing these large vendors like hunter Douglas with terrible service.

Like several of the other reviewers for the Blind Guy, I too was stood up for a scheduled appointment. Actually, two in two consecutive days! Chris Kirby was the representative.
It seems, again based on other reviews here, he makes a standard practice of wasting other people’s time. He didn’t even call to say he wasn’t going to make it for either appointment. Bad enough the first time but to do it again the very next day. Wow. Can you be any more self-​centered?!!
The thing I don’t get is I have purchased blinds from Chris before so this would have been a lay down sale for him. Just take the order. Something he was totally aware of as I told him as much on the phone.
Well, I am more than happy to give my money to another company that appreciates their customers. So far as the name Blind Guy, is that name ever on the mark: blind to consideration of others.
Adiós Blind Guy– No doubt you never saw me walk away nor all the future customers that read reviews.

Made us have faith again in Sales People. When purchasing our home we had a horrible experience with 3 Day Blinds. Chris Kirby saved the day. He came recommended from our good friends and showed up 15 minutes early. He provided us with Plantations for 4 windows for nearly ½ the price we got quoted at 3 day for regular blinds. Even provided us with temporary blinds for the front while we waited on the order. Will recommend again and again.

These guys were great! They have been out 3 times to take care of small details. They had a minor flaw in one of the blinds that I couldn’t even see and they saw it and replaced it. They are meticulous when it comes to attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Be sure you check with other companies before calling the blind guys. We recently called these guys out for a quote at our new house and they were 25 minutes late to our appointment. Then when they were showing us their products they seem to be in a hurry to get done. We picked out what we wanted and they told us they would get back to us with a quote. It’s been over a week and we even called the office to find out about our quote, but nobody called us back. Extremely poor customer service. If you see them at a home show, skip them. Total waste of time. Even after our appointment they went to our neighbors and gave them a quote the same day and even sold them blinds. To this day we had no response from them.

I recently had shutters installed by The Blind Guy and I cannot say enough about the professionalism and sense of urgency that Mark and Chris showed while working on our project. Total turnaround time from measuring to installation was 2 weeks! Couldn’t be happier with the product, our shutters look beautiful and we get tons of compliments. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to all my friends.

Time has gotten away from me and I have been completely remiss for not writing this review sooner! I can honestly say I cannot recommend this company more. I am so happy with my new shutters. Mark was the best. He loves his job and it shows because he is extremely good at it. He helped so much by pointing out all the facets that should be considered when purchasing window coverings and his advice was perfect. I’m picky about my windows and Mark pointed out considerations I would never have thought of. With his advice and input, I am 100% happy with everything about my shutters.
At one time there was an issue due to a manufacturer problem and The Blind Guys and Mark were extremely supportive and helpful. Everything was completely resolved and I couldn’t be happier. Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic service, first of all. Chris was smart and nice and really helped us make great choices. Second is quality, I can’t believe how great our house looks now. Wow, what a difference. Third, and maybe this should be first, their prices were far and away less than anyone else. They were HALF what Costco wanted to charge! They had samples of everything so we knew exactly what we were getting. All this is to say they are a great company and I highly recommend them. Almost wish we had more windows! :-)

Thirteen months ago, I was looking to replace the «up-​down, bottom-​up», Levolor honeycomb blinds that I had only owned for a year and a half. I was awaiting a refund from Levolor as I vehemently disagreed with their verbal (not written) expectation of having to adjust them on a daily basis to keep them properly maintained (too many windows and no housekeepers made this unreasonable LOL).
After reading reviews I decided to make my first appointment with «The Blind Guy». I found both Chris (installer) and the receptionist I spoke with to be very sympathetic to my frustrations with Levolor and informative about their own product. As I felt comfortable with them, I didn’t feel I had to schedule appointments with their competitors; these were the people I wanted to work with. A year ago, I completed their company review and gave them all the highest scores and really, my complaint has nothing to do with the individuals themselves — I still find them to be completely courteous and professional, or the quality of the product, which I am also pleased with. Yesterday, however, I found myself at odds with the cost to come out and complete a repair. In the last month, one of my blinds was unable to be raised due to one a cord coming loose from its plastic washer. As a stay-​at-​home Mom of a rambunctious toddler, I simply wished to make it easy on myself and make use of the lifetime guarantee on the blinds.
$ 150 to come out and attempt a repair or to be a liaison between manufacturer and dealer! Sure, they’ll repair up to three for that charge but I’m not interested in waiting for another two to need repair — after having spent a few thousand on these blinds, it gnaws at me that one isn’t working.
I’m sure I was made aware of the repair charge at the time of purchase, although that was a year ago and I don’t recall it having been brought to my attention. I also can’t say if this repair fee is any better or worse than what other businesses charge. I can say that $ 150 means A LOT more to me today than it did a year ago when my husband and I were both working.
After making the appointment, I decided to try to make the repair myself — I knew what was wrong, as I stated previously, I just wanted to make it easier on myself. I latched onto the cord with a crochet hook through the honeycomb, untied the knot to pull it out, slipped on an embroidery needle and threaded it through. After reattaching the cord to the plastic washer — it works just fine again.
If I’d have kept the appointment, it would have been like paying someone $ 150 to sew on a shirt button.
Based on the individuals I’ve worked with and the overall quality of the product they carry, I still rate them at three stars and would still recommend keeping them in the mix if you’re researching dealers for blinds. If the $ 150 repair bill seems shocking, however, please learn from my mistake and don’t hang your hat on the peace of mind of a lifetime guarantee without making yourself aware of the repair cost.
As for myself, in the future, I’ll make sure that a repair is completely beyond my ability before I make an appointment to have someone assist me with it.

Just purchased a brand new home in Folsom, CA. We needed window coverings for the entire home, as the builder did not provide them as part of the deal. Truthfully looking for window covering companies was proving to be extremely difficult.
I was actually on the road, when I saw «The blind guy’s» Mercedes Van drive by. I thought at first, maybe the Mercedes van might mean they will charge a high price? But I liked the wrap and professional appearance of their vehicle.
Looked them up here and read some reviews. We then scheduled an initial appointment to get an estimate. The representative was extremely helpful, and helped my wife and I (which have zero artistic ability) pick out some amazing Hunter Douglas, designer roller shades and 2″ wood blinds.
Seeing that we have zero skills for interior design, we were nervous on how everything would come together. When the product arrived, we were blown away by the quality of the product as well as the appearance. I’m very OCD about having work done on my home, and the installer was meticulous and installed everything with the skill of a surgeon.
Best of all the price was very reasonable, for what I would consider a very high-​end looking end result. Would absolutely refer or use The Blind Guy again.

We thought custom blinds were going to expensive, so were hanging sheets over our windows for a while. My neighbor am sure was tired of seeing sheets on my windows) told me about The Blind Guy. I called they set up an appointment for someone to come out and measure and talk to me and my wife. Together we came up with nice blinds that were very affordable. Not much time passed and they made an appointment and showed up right on time. Hung the blinds, cleaned up after themselves (I think it was Chris). The blinds look and work great Now Me, My Wife and Neighbor are all happy.

Absolute best experperience ever! We had 3 different bids, The Blind Guy (Chris) came in the cheapest and they shutters were here in 10 days (the other two company’s said 12 weeks!). We love our new shutters! They will definitely be coming out to do our other room when we are ready. You will not be disappointed!

We just moved into a new home in Brentwood. I called 3 companies to come out and give me a bid for shutters. Brian, The Blind Guy, was the first to show up. He was professional and knew his product line. He measured all my windows and gave me a bid. When he left, he went across the street to give my neighbors a bid. A few days later, I talked to that neighbor and discovered he had bids from all the others I was planning to have come. I compared my neighbors bids and decided to cancel the other companies and order from The Blind Guy. Brian came out the next day and got the paper work done and a deposit. It was a week before Christmas. I didn’t think I’d see him again until after the New Year. But to my surprise, I was wrong! They came out the Sunday after Christmas and installed my shutters. Installation was quick and my shutters look awesome! They have a location here in Brentwood, too!

I would certainly recommend The Blind Guy. They provided excellent customer service, a great product and terrific workmanship. I will definitely use their services again should I need them in the future!

I met with quite a few window covering companies and found a huge range in pricing. In the end, I went with Brian from The Blind Guy due to the fact that his pricing was the best, I felt a good rapport with him and he pointed out some things about my windows that no one else did so I knew he was knowledgable. I ended up putting 3.5″ shutters on 12 windows. The shutters took 5 weeks (I knew this up-​front) but it was worth the wait. Brian was even nice enough to do the install when I was on vacation so I could come home to my new window coverings (and privacy!). I would highly recommend The Blind Guy to anyone. If you are looking for a great product at a great price and top notch customer service-​this is the company to use!

The reviews on these guys is spot on… Mark is FABulous, professional & not looking to upsell you a single thing that you don’t need. He stands behind his product w/​utmost confidence & he has good reason to. They are very competitively priced, extremely professional, very knowledgable, prompt & all around a pleasure to work with. The same is to be said for his coutnerpart /​installer, Chris. They are a duo not to be wreckoned with & I will surely be sending any/​all business I can there way. You won’t be disappointed — give them a shot.

I contacted The Blind Guy at the end of September for servicing on a custom-​made Hunter Douglas shutter. The representative — Chris — failed to show up at our established appointment. When I called him, he said that he had the appointment written down for one week beyond what we had agreed upon. However, Chris did come to the house that day and assess the problem — the replacement of a wood louver. He said that it would take approximately 2 weeks to get the part. When 2 ½ weeks had gone by, I didn’t hear anything from Chris. I called him repeatedly and couldn’t get him to return my calls. I called about 3 weeks later, asked to speak to the boss and was told he was in Southern California. Finally I heard from Chris, who again told me he wasn’t sure what the delay was and that he would get back to me. He did not call me back nor did I receive a call from the owner. By the last week of October, I called The Blind Guy and told them cancel my order; I didn’t want to deal with a company that won’t return calls to its clients. Perhaps all their representatives don’t work in the same way as Chris did — but that was my experience. I have gone on to work with a company called Three Blind Brothers — please don’t confuse them with The Blind Guy! If you are looking not only to buy shutters and blinds, but also for on-​going servicing of parts, I don’t recommend The Blind Guy.

Great value, good prices, convenient scheduling for the estimate. Scheduling the install took a little longer than expected, but scheduling options were very accommodating, and the install took almost no time at all.

Can’t ask for more from The Blind Guy! I interviewed and got quotes from more than three companies. I ended up going with The Blind Guy because of their professionalism, product, warranty, and of course, price. From the initial call to final installation, The Blind Guy met every requirement we asked of them and more. Mark was a constant professional and always responded quickly when needed and I definitely asked a lot of questions. He even made recommendations to complete our design. In fact, I even placed a second order to finish off our house. Chris installed the blinds perfectly and quickly. I highly recommend these guys. They will work with you to give you the best price and service possible. Thank you.

I scheduled an appointment with Mark. Two days before our appointment, he called to reschedule because he had a cold. We rescheduled for the following week with a one-​hour window of time and a promise that he would call me the day of the appointment to narrow that window. Our appointment time came and went with no call, so I called him. Voicemail. I’ll be taking my money to a company that wants my business.
