Nick is the «Mortgage Whisperer».This man is an expert in his craft. Absolutely amazing. He knows all of the ins and outs of the mortgage world. I was not in the market to buy when I ran across our dream house. I definitely did not have all of my ducks in row going into this buying process, literally had an impossible loan. Being self-​employed made this process even more arduous. After being turned down multiple times I found Nick on Unilocal.He made it happen. He and his team went above and beyond to get my family and I into our dream home. He always kept me up to date and was very prompt in returning my calls. As with every big purchase and move, things can get very sticky, over whelming, and stressful. Nick was there for us at every step. Reassuring us, answering every question, able to take our call at all times, even when he was on vacation! He was on top of all his responsibilities and even helped us work out issues with other parts of the process.
Then after we moved in, we were very surprised to have recieved a personal gift that was related to the house. It just showed how in tune he is to his customers!

I’ve known Nick for several years and long before I was even thinking about buying a house he was giving me and my husband tips for building credit so that when we wanted to we would be able to buy our dream home. We just closed a loan with Nick and the process could not have been easier. Nick and his associate, Laura, are a great team. They really care about their clients and want to get you the best rate possible. Buying your first home is extremely stressful but Nick and Laura put us at ease and handled everything for us. I always felt in the loop about what was going on. I truly could not be happier with how everything turned out! My wife and I met Nick while seeking pre-​approval on our second home. Nick and his team were very prompt and accommodating. They kept an often and open line of communication during the process (that was very quick!) and made sure they could meet with us when it worked for OUR schedule. The approval came quickly with great rates. Unfortunately (for unrelated reasons) we did not end up in that home, but like anyone with amazing customer service, Nick and Laura had another option for us. While looking over our numbers they found that we could get out of our FHA loan, drop our PMI and lower our monthly payment in our current home. Brilliant! Within a very short amount of time we were signing papers for the re-​fi to complete what was a very seamless and painless process. Nick and his team showed genuine care in building a personal relationship with us all while giving the highest level of customer service. As first time homebuyers new to the process, we feel so lucky to have been referred to Nick & his associate Laura. Both were attentive, very very helpful and patient. They happily helped any way they could whenever we needed it. We felt informed on everything every step of the way. My husband’s job has long, crazy hours and they even somehow managed to make sure they always checked in with both of us. We’re happy with the process and the loan. They always made themselves available and constantly went the extra mile. They even sent us a nice card when we lost a bidding war and were very disappointed. They are very professional but also friendly, down to earth, and very easy to talk to. They made it extremely painless for us and were never pushy. They gave us all the information and let us decide what was best for us. They also managed to get the loan side of escrow completed in amazing time (we started escrow on the 19th and closed on the 29th). If they say they’ll get it done, then it gets done on time. Blown away! Wow! Wow! & WOW!!! Let me first start by saying that we had been told by several other professionals that our situation didn’t look good, and we should wait until more of our expected funds came in to put towards our down payment, and, in the meantime, work on repairing our credit, and establishing a longer work history with my husband’s employer. I was ready to give up, until my real estate agent casually suggested that I give her preferred lender, Nick Cunningham, a call. So, I did, totally thinking that this would be another mortgage lending professional telling me the same thing. BUT TO MY SUPRISE, Nick said our situation was completely workable and was confident that he could get us the remainder of funds now, needed for getting into the home we wanted to purchase! I was pleasantly SHOCKED! This was not the answer I was expecting, but in a fabulous way! Our DREAM of being homeowners were finally going to come true. It was a lot of hard work getting this loan. Both, Nick and Laura Corbett, bent over backwards for us, and that is an understatement. Nick really knows his stuff. We bought our dream home recently and it wouldn’t have been possible without Nick and his extensive knowledge.
