Lifeguard On Duty Fences, Nets and Covers

Todd and his crew were great! The fence looks great, instillation was quick and done the way we wanted. They even came back to fix the fence when our landscaper messed it up. Good and fair pricing as well. Definitely recommend this company for a pool fence.

Lifeguard on Duty came through in a pinch for us, delivered a homerun by any measure, and left us very happy and safe with our professionally-​installed pool fence.
I purchased all of the pool fence materials directly off of
, with the intent of installing it myself. However, once I started to (try to) drill the first hole into our concrete pool decking using the brand new (and supposedly-​powerful) rotating hammer drill — and got the drill bit stuck — I instantly realized I was way out of my league in trying to do this myself and that even if I could get the other couple dozen holes drilled, the complexities with how to angle the post holes and the fencing, how to attach to our existing yard fence on either end and how to assemble the self-​closing & latching gate was likely to drive me to drink… Plus, it was 95 degrees outside…
So, a quick search on Unilocal turned up Lifeguard On Duty and I submitted their contact form to see if they could come out and install a fence that we’d already purchased. The owner (Todd) quickly responded via email and followed up by phone to confirm for me that they could indeed to an install-​only for a very reasonable price. When I asked if they might be able to come out the next day (Memorial Day Monday), his lead installer was indeed available, so we quickly booked them to come out and help us out.
By 10:30am the next day, Todd was at our house to confirm with us how we would like to lay out the pool fence (suggesting a much improved layout than we had originally intended) and to measure & mark out the spots to drill the post holes. By 11am Jeff (lead installer) was installing the dirt sleeves for the sections of fence that would span the dirt areas of our yard, and by 11:30 was drilling the holes in our concrete decking. Just a few hours later and the entire fence and self-​closing gate was installed, rock solid and looking great.
Worth noting is the attention to detail that the folks @ Lifeguard on Duty provide — Todd suggested an ideal layout for the pool fence that would maximize not only safety but also the usability of the large concrete deck areas outside of our pool (where we have deck chairs and tables set up) — his suggestion looks so good, and infinitely better than the cramped layout I had originally envisioned to do myself. In addition, Jeff took the time to pour some fast-​drying cement around some of the looser dirt sleeves, to ensure that they had a solid foundation for a secure fence, and also took the time to make fine-​tuned adjustments to the gate hardware to ensure a smooth and secure latch.
Great job by a team of professionals who clearly care about offering quality work at a very fair price. Highly recommended and highly appreciated!

My dogs fell in the pool and can’t swim so I needed an option to save their lives and that I could afford. The pool net is a great option to a fence which would have obstructed the view from our home. I found Todd online and sent an email form. He called me immediately and set up an appointment the next day to come give me a quote. He was prepared and knowledgeable about his product. At the time of installation, it was going to be 10 days out but he was able to install it a couple days sooner. The installer showed up on time and got right to work. The whole process took about three hours. I was shown how to remove the net and place it back. It’s easy to do. I recommend the product which has a 15 year warranty and this company to install it.

Should have wrote this last year, but have had so many things going on; better late than never!
Long story short, Todd came out for an estimate & although he was a bit more than the other company we met with, we felt Todd was more knowledgeable & cared more about his customers. He put the fence up quickly & explained how to remove it should we want too.
Fast forward about 7 months; the locking mechanism wouldn’t work (it was stuck in the lock position, which I prefer over being open), and I left a message on the company’s voicemail; Todd came out the same day and fixed it within 10 minutes! Now that’s amazing customer service!

We had a pool installed a few years ago and initially had a pool safety fence. After the kids all learned to swim, we got tired of seeing the ugly diy fence and wanted something that didn’t take up so much room and blocked the view of the pool. I saw the safety nets online and decided to get a few estimates. Todd from Lifeguard on Duty was awesome. He came over the day after I called to give us an estimate. He took the time to sit down with us about all the different options and what we really needed.
I had two other estimates and they were hundreds more than Todd’s estimate. Since he charged less, I was a little worried, but Todd showed up on time during the installation appointments. He was courteous and cleaned up after the install. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend him and the safety net.
