Danielle always does a great job. I feel 10 years younger every time I am finished. She is great with my color and cuts and she is also very sweet and friendly to talk with.

I cannot believe I haven’t ever written a review on this place! I have been coming here for about six years now and can’t imagine life without Danielle. I’ve moved three times since I started going to her, and even though it’s a lousy commute for me now, I would never go anywhere else! I tried 5 different salons before finding her and she literally saved my hair. It was all broken thanks for a bad bleach job and now it’s healthy again and the gorgeous «natural» blonde I love. She’s made it darker, lighter, lowlights, added extensions, and even added purple underneath for a few months, and whatever she does, I love it. Most of the time we don’t even discuss my hair when I come in, she just knows what I like and I trust her. I recommend her to everyone I know.

Ella at Gloss Salon is not only a great stylist but a great colorist as well! I just had my second visit with her so that she could do a color correction (I should have known better to go some where else but someone gave me a gift card for their place) and I’m SO stoked at the quality of her services again. My hair cut is so flattering and the color and highlights look super natural! I will never stray again! If your looking for a great stylist, look no further… just call Ella at Gloss!

My 2 Teenage Daughters & I after 10 years of using the same Stylist who moved away needed a new Stylist… I called Gloss Salon after reading the reviews here on Unilocal tried out Ella. We were Ecstatic we loved our hair! We actually felt it was the best colors we have ever had she took the time and effort to make sure it was perfect!!! We are so happy we found such a Fantastic Stylist!!! I would definitely recommend her to all my Family & Friends!!!

Ella is wonderful! I went in for a full highlight and cut after reading all the reviews on here about her. My previous hair stylist had given me some rather blotchy balayage highlights. Picked a really good hair color for me too! Great personality and really easy to talk to! Will definitely be returning to her!

I tried Gloss Salon for the first time today using a living social coupon. My stylist Danielle was amazing!!! I showed her a couple pictures of what I was looking for (blonde highlights) and she made my hair look even better than I thought it would! She is such a sweet person too :-) So happy to have finally found an awesome place to get hair done (I use to drive an hour for hair appts before coming here!) I definitely will be going back!

I have been seen Ella for years. She is an absolute artist with color. I feel beautiful when i leave her salon and what more could I ask for!

I’ve been looking for a good hairstylist who understands what i want, and i recently went to Gloss Salon and had my hair done by Halee, I wanted some peek a boo highlights around my face and a hair touch up. Danielle is a hair GODDESS!!! I’ve been going to her for about 5 years now and the fact that I have hair on my head is a testament to how great she is. She has brought my hair back to life after numerous dumb decisions (bottle dye, Supercuts hacker, a perm!!!) and she always knows exactly what my hair needs. I go to her for everything and she can do everything (beautiful color, extensions, great cuts). She also has a fantastic, fun personality to boot. Ella, the owner, is also a total sweetheart. You will love her! I went in to see Danielle with totally damaged hair. The stylist I had before kept pulling red when I was trying to be blonde. Old stylist tried fixing it and completely wrecked my hair. The first visit with Danielle, my hair the was the perfect color and much healthier! I’ve been 2 her 3 times now and now get complimented on my hair all the time. She does all the extras too. I have Tinsel extensions now and they are so fun. Highly recommend her! I have to laugh because I use my husbands account to post on Unilocal.He does not have Tinsel in his hair! LOL, but she is also his stylist too along with our 3 boys!

First, Ella is a class act. I messaged her in tears over a disastrous cut/​color from another salon. She called me back within an hour AND fit me into her busy schedule the very same day.
Ella reviewed my choices for fixing my color, giving me pros and cons for each. She is great at listening, and really hearing, what you want. Needless to say, she fixed my cut and my color is now beautiful and natural looking.
I HIGHLY recommend Ella… she is a real stylist!

Ella is an absolute Super Star!!! She has been completing my hair-​look for many years here in Santa Rosa, CA, and when she planned her Gloss Salon opening in Rocklin, CA I admit I felt a little nervous about her being so far away… really glad she was doing her own thing finally because she is so awesome at what she does, and making ready to drive all the way out there of course… NO ONE else will be allowed to work on my hair if I can help it! Seriously folks, we ALL know that when you find someone as fabulous as Ella at coloring, you simply don’t let anyone else touch your hair! Thankfully she created a way every 3 to 4 weeks for me to continue seeing her in Santa Rosa at another local salon (thanks so much Ella!), and yes I have even driven out to Glass Salon as well when needed (Cute place!)
Ella has a truly innate touch for hair-​color, she is very good at helping you figure out what will actually look good on you and not just what you THINK looks good on you. And my hair looks really great, stripes of blonde and cordovan, we did a fun purple once, and now at my request are «working in the gray» as a stripe coloration now… and I am not the only one who thinks her work is fabulous, I get compliments on my hair ALL the time, even from guys… Ella’s work is actually her hobby, she loves it and you can tell she loves it… and her talent certainly shows! ;)
Ella is your color-​guardian-​angel my friend, use her to the fullest… and for the person who wrote that review accusing Ella of yelling… well that is just so completely out of character for Ella that I cannot help but wonder about something else «coloring» the interaction (pardon the pun)…one of the main reasons I go to Ella (besides the fact that I literally get at least one go-​out-​of-​the-​way to tell me how great my hair looks comment EVERY day, I kid you not) is that she dislikes participating in drama. She is not the typical drama-​queen hairdressers I used to go to and hated being around. Not my style, not her style either. If you like down-​to-​earth people, a talented artist working her magic on your scalp, and feeling awesome as a result… then Ella and Gloss Salon are for you!

Went in for a highlights, cut, and deep conditioning treatment. As always Ella was quick and efficiently since I was on a major time crunch to get to my daughters surprise Birthday party. My blonde highlights turned out perfect and was my hair was super shiny after the conditioning treatment! Thank you Ella for convincing me to snip off my badly split ends, they really needed it! I’m another happy repeat customer!!! A+++

Sadly, I had a really disappointing experience here. I’m still new to the area so I was excited when I saw the Groupon offer and snatched it right up. I have a very busy schedule as I work during the day and go to school at night so I had to make arrangements to be able to make my appointment time possible.
Unfortunately, when I got to the salon there was no record of my appointment. I had confirmation on my cell phone and was able to show that I did indeed book an appointment… They have no full-​time receptionist there as far as I could see so I was talking directly with the stylist with whom I had booked my appointment. The stylist (I don’t want to mention names as everyone makes mistakes and I don’t want to taint this person’s styling abilities) did say she would try to work with my schedule to squeeze me in at another time but at that point I’d been standing around awkwardly while she worked on another client and just felt awful. I had absolutely no desire to return especially as getting your hair done is a personal experience. I’ve never had anything like this happen to me before.
My advice would be to call again and confirm your appointment so that you can have a good experience. Luckily, I was able to book an appointment at another salon at a convenient time and they kept my appointment!

I purchased the groupon offer yesterday hoping to get into the salon this weekend. On such short notice, Ella was not available, however Anne had an opening. I haven’t had a good haircut/​color in probably two years, so I was a little nervous going to someone without any info on them. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about.
Anne was awesome. I have been wanting to go back to blonde for some time now and I could not have asked for my color to have turned out any better. I showed Anne a picture of what I wanted and I feel like she did exactly what I asked for. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely be going back to Gloss.
