Boot Barn

I went to the Boot Barn in Rancho Cordova and could not find woman ranger or carhartt work jeans. I came to this location and found everything I was looking for! The customer service was awesome, the fitting rooms were open so you didn’t have to search around for an employee for a key, and the place was clean. My new favorite store!

The service at Boot Barn was excellent! I went there for the first time today, and immediately went to the front desk — clerk greeted me, asked if I could use help –I said yes, I’ve never bought cowgirl boots and wanted some. Erika was excellent — showed me styles in my size, advised me on how to select a pair, and since one I like wasn’t there in my size, she ordered it from another branch. She advised me re other stuff like boot socks that won’t fall down, and boot trees to keep boot toes from curling up — not in a pushy way, just educational. I gotta say, she was one of the best sales associates I’ve ever met. So I don’t know about some of these negative reviews here, my experience was excellent.

The customer service is terrible! I went in looking for a pair of tall riding boots of high quality. Not once was I greeted or acknowledged. I was in there over a half hour. Everyone ignored me. I made sure to make my presence known as I went up and down the isles looking and handling the most expensive boots. I got nothing. The man helping a customer knew I was next and after finishing up he walked right by me as i stood looking at him expecting to be waited on. Didn’t even say someone would be right with me and the store was not crowded in the least. Unbelievable!

I went to boot barn on July 19^th with my wedding party. I called in over a week in advance and spoke to a women on the phone-(wish I got her name) let her know exactly why I was coming by, and how many people I had coming with me. (I was told by a friend that if we contact them that an entire wedding party in coming in that they will offer a discount.) The lady on the phone said yeah, just ask for the manager when you come in. I asked her if there was anything special I needed to do before hand, and her response was «no». So day of, I have my wedding party of four girls and my mother. all whom were buying boots. I walk in speak to a young lady told her I was advised to ask for a manager in regards to a discount for my wedding party. she told me she would go speak to her manager and that we can start looking. all of us head to the boots and about 30 minutes goes by and the young lady comes up to me and tells me that the request has to go to corporate for the discount to be approved and that it wouldn’t be offered today. I told her I called in advance to get anything like this handled ahead of time. I had two girls that drove 2 hours to come and we were going to buy the boots today. so now I’m upset, I did my part on calling ahead of time and it still wasn’t good enough. So we decided we would get them anyways, but tried signing up for their reward program to get a 10% discount, well that is for online purchases only. At this point I just wanted to leave, then came Darci. the only saving grace in this situation, she said that even though the discount online wont work that she will give us all a 10% discount a «wedding party» discount. I said thank you, and she proceeded to give all my girls the discount and told me about their reward program so we can come back for my fiancés boots. THANK YOU for being awesome and fixing a situation that wasn’t going so smoothly.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Darci and Jackie were both so patient, calm, respectful, understanding, and HELPFUL! My fiancé went to the Rancho Cordova location on Friday and may have just overlooked the location because he thought the business closed down. Which then led us the Rocklin location. Unfortunately, my fiancé’s company was not registered at this location to receive his free work boots (he had a voucher from work). These two ladies went out of their ways to make sure we didn’t have to leave without my fiancé’s boots. They called the Rancho Cordova location to find out all the codes needed and took care of us without any attitude or frustration. THANK YOU SO MUCH DARCI AND JACKIE! We truly appreciate your awesome customer service. Haven’t received such great customer service in a long time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANKKKK YOU!!!

Will boycott boot barn. Customer service is terrible, corporate philosophy is large part of problem, sale ads are misleading — have to read super carefully, and interpret the ads in store’s favor. Bought boots a few months ago. Recently bought western belt. Never again will I shop at boot barn.

I just left the Boot Barn after spending $ 100 on riding boots and some extras for my daughter. I was near walking out after waiting 10 min for assistance. The manager and a couple of other female workers couldn’t be bothered and acted totally annoyed when I asked.
Keith ended up helping us and was super friendly and knowledgable, thankfully. He would be the only reason I would return. The remainder of the staff if yuck.

I needed a cowboy hat for a Garth Brooks concert tomorrow. I’ve heard this store advertised on country stations so I decided to go there. I was excited to shop there, but my excitement was short lived. I walked in and pass two employees and they didn’t utter a word. Maybe they thought I was lost or something. Probably don’t see many black people stroll through. Anyway I proceed to the hat section and try on several hats. As I was trying to make a selection a white couple came in and they greeted them estatically. I needed advice on some of the choices, but nobody asked if I needed help. Horrible customer service. I won’t be back!

Every person that I’ve talked to regarding my terrible experience at boot barn in Roseville has said they felt the same way after leaving this store! Not a good reputation at all!

Will never buy boots from boot barn ever again. Bought a pair of boots while passing through Roseville. They did not take the security ink off boot. Went to Fairfield boot barn, which was close by where I live and they said to go to the place I bought them. I had to make a special trip to Roseville to get the ink thing off boot. Poor customer service when returning boots. Very disappointed.

Went to bootbarn thinking it would be the best place to buy boots, belt and a hat that I needed for a corp meeting in PA. I’m not a cowboy boot guy and had no idea how they are suppose to fit. But I may of well of been just another pair of boots in a box because there was no help.
So I left and found a place called Durango in North Highlands and it was AWESOME in every aspect. It’s a little store with everything you could possibly need to be a cowboy. The boots were 100% leather as was the belt to. I got everything for under …$ 200 wahoo

I went to boot barn in search of motorcycle boots. As a female rider the boots that most motorcycle shops sell are for women who ride on the back of bikes (ie – no shifting required). The boots typically are very stiff and the toes too thick to fit under the gear shift. I had tried multiple cycle shops around Sacramento area (with no luck) and bought/​returned boots online. I was to the point I was just going to ride in regular shoes. Finally in a last ditch effort I landed at Boot Barn. Of course, they have an amazing array of ladies cowboy boots, but they also have some really wonderful utilitarian boots. I settled for an ankle style, zip-​up (front) pair of Ariat boots. About $ 120, which is around the price of the cycle shops (maybe a bit less). Clearly Ariats are not designed for motorcycles, but the tight fit and top notch leather make them comfortable and safe (and flexible with slim toes). I gave them a test ride today and they worked marvelously. Nina, the sales clerk was very helpful and knowledgeable. She also rides motorcycles so I was pleasantly surprised to have the sales woman understand my dilemma and commiserate with me over the woes of women’s motorcycle boots (or the lack thereof). This also helped her guide me to the right pair of boots. Loved the Boot Barn — thought they were all very nice and helpful when needed. Not sure what the negative reviews on here are about – I would strongly recommend this shop and the staff. And FYI – for those of you thinking of buying online – did that and paid ‘restocking fees’ up to 20% plus return shipping. I can’t imagine I would deal w/​that BS at BB.

I just bought a new pair of boots from the Boot Barn. Although the boots were nice and I thought they were fairly expensive at $ 209.99 plus tax, I felt a little overwhelmed with the constant checking in. I’m in sales, so I understand up selling and the want for the customer to buy quality, but I felt a little pushed to boy more expensive. I also bought 2 shirts with my boots and thought a 10% off coupon would work, but I was told that my coupon was online only. Good products but I was a little disappointed with their customer service skills.

Very wide selection, very clean store, friendly staff. John was knowledgeable and attentive. Ask for him!

I didn’t love this Boot Barn because from the minute I got there I felt like they ONLY cared about up selling. I was already planning on buying a $ 200+ pair of boots but that didn’t seem to be enough for them. The woman who helped us was knowledge, yes, but her attitude sort of took a dive when I told her that I didn’t care to buy all of the polishes and accessories that they recommend buying with the boots. I found this rather insulting. I was already going to spend a lot and they didn’t seem to appreciate this. Next time I need these sorts of item’s I will buy online or from eBay.

Every Time I visit in the area, I love coming here. My bf and I went to Country in the Park and somebody dropped sauce on my boots. We took it back to Boot Barn and tried to see if they can help us with it. We cleaned it as instructed and it got worse. So when we took it to the store, the girls in there were wonderful trying their best to get the stain out. When it got worse, they offered to replace my boots. My bf got them for me for a present so I was pretty upset when the stain could not come out. But everyone and the service there was so helpful and I got my boots replaced with a better pair. They were all Amazing in making sure I was happy. I went back in there a week ago and everyone was still really nice and helpful. I was greeted, and when I had questions everyone was helpful.
I wish there was one in the bay area, near Livermore/​Pleasanton, Ca where I am from cause the stores we have in Livermore are not as good and the service in them stores are not as good due to some rude people and bad service and because of that I stick to ordering online or waiting to visit my bf again to come to this Boot Barn store. hahaha But yea, I would recommend this store to anyone and the people in it. Thanks for trying to help me with my boots and providing me with Amazing service every time. :-)

First time shopper, pleasantly surprised by the high level of retail courtesy. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and had a great experience. The salesperson asked questions to gauge my style preference, budget, foot sizing, intended use level of my boots– her expertise was amazing. Same efficiency when it came to hats — knew my size just by looking at my head. (I was helped by Tonya)
My friend and I had great looking & fitting gear within 30 minutes of arrival.
This is very a big store — worth taking the freeway exit for!

Great selection and even better customer service! Staff is very helpful. I have been to the Boot Barn locations in Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove as well… service is great in all three, but selection in Rocklin is the best.
