The smoothies are amazing and the owner is really funny!!! The passion fruit smoothie is the best! I am so sad this business is closed :(

I freaking loved this place. The owner was amazing and the drinks where authentic. I’m from So cal so places like this are hard to find out here… so sad. Probably the wrong location. Rocklin can’t appreciate anything ethnic

Came to get some desserts, but this place is closed. We don’t come to roseville often, but when we do we drop by bambu. Well we were disappointed to see that it’s closed.

Life is better with a Bambu Special #1! C’mon fellow white people, don’t be afraid to try something new, like drinks with weird green noodles(pandan jelly) floating in them! Variety is the spice of life! This place is delicious and a totally fun experience to break you out of your Jamba Juice/McDonald’s smoothie habit.

The most amazing Boba drinks in town! My favorite is the taro coconut(which, by the way they use REALTARO and coconut) and the D3 dessert!

This place may be overlooked by potential patrons primarily because the menu is only recognizable to those who know vietnamese desserts. It’s worth a try, especially if your interest is piqued. Otherwise, if you’re a regular of these types of dessert places, you’ll be right at home. The usual pearl drink fair is also served, although you would be doing yourself a disservice if you just adhered to that

Best place to get boba milk tea and refreshing dessert drinks in the area. Try the boba milk tea hot in the winter for a different texture. I usually get mine a tad less sweet but they can adjust to your taste.

We love Bambu because it reminds of traditional drinks and desserts that our Ba Noi(Grandma) would make for us when we were younger. The shop is nicely decorated and has a peaceful feel to it. Many people sit in the shop and enjoy their drinks and dessert. We usually take our drinks home and the shop packs the ice on the side. This way we can enjoy the drink fully when we arrive home. We visited the shop during a slow time so we could ask questions and the owner could explain things better for us. Today we order six different things. The children ordered Strawberry Fantasy smoothies with tapioca boba and strawberry filled popping boba(which have strawberry juice inside the boba so you get a burst of flavor) and Mango Dazzle with coconut water with Boba. I ordered from the desserts menu: D6(*Che Trai Cay): Lychee, longan, red tapioca, jackfruit, palm seed, jello, pandan jelly, coconut and D2 Bambu Combo consisting of Red and white beans, mung beans, taro, pandan jelly, tapioca, mixed jelly, and coconut milk. The last drink was a Vietnamese blended coffee with coffee jelly and grass jelly.
*Che is a tradional Vietnamese dessert which can have a variety of beans(mung beans, red beans, white beans…), jellies, tapioca, fruits(mango, lychee, young coconut, longan, durian or jack fruit) basil seeds and so many much more. Desserts Menu. Number 6(Che Trai Cay): Lychee, longan, red tapioca, jackfruit, palm seed, jello, pandan jelly, coconut.

This place is the best! The selections are so plentiful that it took me a few minutes to order what I wanted, next time I will know sooner. The place is decorated so cute and homey. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I will be back for sure and hope to order others of the great selections! If you like options in drinks, this is the place. I saw tapioca pudding cups but choose to skip the idea… sitting here now, I sad that I did!

Love the desserts but the service is always bad, One employee who takes orders and fix all the drinks and desserts. The owner needs to hire at least 2 employees so they can help each other out on fixing the desserts. I have left a couple of times because of the wait.

Calissa is the best. It was our first time at this spot and she walked us through the whole process. We all got awesome drinks and couldn’t be happier. It was evident that she wanted to ensure we had a drink we were most happy with. Also, this is one of the only places that has whole lychee, one of my favorites #tip #iwillbebackbambu

A small boba place that I usually go to if lollicup is closed. They have a variety of drinks, including dessert drinks that I’ve only seen at bambu. Their dessert drinks have a ton of stuff in them, like grass jelly, boba etc. I’ve tried their dessert drink once and was pretty neutral about it, I thought too much was going on while drinking it. I’ve also had their normal boba milk tea here and it tastes pretty good. Overall solid place to chill and have a nice drink at.

We love how close this place is to our new house. It’s a cool place to bring our friends and family when they’re visiting from the Bay Area. Though a lot of their menu is crossed out(I’m assuming because they don’t sell as well in a predominantly-Caucasian area?), there is still a lot to choose from. My husband gets the smoothies while I stick with the regular milk tea which is fabulous! It must have a lot of caffeine in it or something because I’m usually amped for the rest of the day. Their Vietnamese drinks are fun when you want to be adventurous too. For my first experience of Bambu in San Mateo, I tried the #6(CHETRAICAY* lychee, longan, palm seed, jackfruit, coconut, red tapioca, pandan jelly, coconut milk). It’s like a dessert and drink mixed in one. The only downer is that I wish they could open earlier and I could get the milk tea on my way to work(instead of Starbucks). 11am is when they normally open. And they close kinda early too(8am). Check out their Unilocal check-in deal too. My husband LOVES the coconut milk tea. I wasn’t too fond of it. Good location and plenty of parking!

I was VERY impressed with the service at this Bambu location! They were understaffed and warned us as soon as we walked in. Fortunately, we love bambu enough to wait! During our wait, they were kind enough to offer us MANY samples of other items on their menu. They definitely know how to keep people happy! My family usually orders a couple of the specials to share — never really tried the smoothies or milk teas. With check-in, we received a free one with the purchase. Personally, I’m not a fan but they do so great on their specialty Vietnamese drinks(the ones with the beans and jelly and other junk in it), I’d go back for those.

Been driving passed this place for awhile. Finally stopped in with my 2yr old. Greeted by a girl with a very friendly face. Menu seems a bit overwhelming but it’s really not. There’s just a ton of choices. Bobas, jellied, tapioca, green bean… wait…what? Green bean? Well ok. Checked in via Unilocal for my free promo milk tea. Taro coconut it is, with mango popping boba. It was yummy! The owner was there and was really nice. He asked if he could make us a sm popular dessert drink with the fixings for me to try. Glad he did, it was fabulous!!! It was very colorful with the various jellied goodies and yes the green bean. It was very delicious and quite refreshing. Thank you Bambu!!! We’ve been Back a few more times since.

This shop is tucked away in Rocklin. Staff was friendly to greet me. I came in looking for pearl drink, tapioca, milk tea. Large menu. Selection of Vietnamese desserts. All priced right. Drinks were fresh and balanced sweet. I didn’t order an Vietnamese desserts. Good: service, and menu. Bad: Nothing to date. Just okay. I’ll be back someday.

A great little hidden treasure in Rocklin! A nice variety of beverages from smoothies to ice teas to milk teas. The jasmine based teas are strong, but one of my favorites. They also offer more traditional black tea based options. My children love the fruit a smoothies and always have boba added to their drinks. A fun selection of boba flavors from traditional dark pearl to green apple to strawberry to combo. The colors are beautiful and they add an interesting texture to any drink on the menu. If you are a first-timer, ask for help with ordering. Great staff who are patience and happy to explain their menu options! They’ll even offer you a sample, if needed. A nice cozy location with tables and chairs and a small couch area in the back. They have and selection of board games and dice and play great music from a digital jute box. Bambu is worth a visit!

First time here and totally confused by the menu. Luckily, I had the customer behind me to help me out. She recommended a drink off the Desserts Menu, which was Number 6(Che Trai Cay) and came with lychee, longan, red tapioca, jackfruit, palm seed, jello, pandan jelly, coconut. I was worried that it was gonna be sugar overload because I hadn’t eaten yet and in general I’m not a fan of high sugar drinks. Much to my pleasant surprise, the taste was fresh with just the right amount of sweetness from the ingredients. So many slimy, yummy things to slurp on with the large straw and spoon provided. I did notice that it came with a bunch of crushed ice on top of the drink, which I decided to dump off to get to the good stuff. I’ll be ordering my drink without ice next time. As far as atmosphere, it’s nothing that made me want to linger, but I wasn’t itching to leave either. I had a good experience here – never had anything like this drink before.

Stopped by here for our boba fix. My sister and I were originally going to order a milk tea, but we were intrigued about the milk tea float and you can add boba! It was a GAMECHANGER I tell you! You should definitely try it! I had my fav, taro milk tea with green tea icecream and boba topped with whipped cream. It was that good that we finished our drinks within minutes. I’m glad we stopped by here and the staff were friendly and efficient. I’d definitely come back again if I am in the area. Great Idea for the milk tea float!

This location is about as far for me as the south Sac location, but we were in the Roseville area so this one was closer. Although I am familiar with many of the ingredients used for their Vietnamese desserts, I was a little overwhelmed by all the choices. They were very helpful when I told them what flavors I liked and let me try some of the individual items before I committed to ordering my drink. I ordered the #6 and my sister got the jasmine milk tea with pearls and pandan jelly. Both had very good flavor and mine was especially filling, like eating a meal really. If you”ve never tried one I highly recommend it! I’m already planning to go back and create my own custom drink next time. They also carry more traditional desserts such as red velvet cake, tiramisu, etc. But the drinks are a must try.
