Called on a Friday afternoon an hour before a three day holiday weekend. Full septic tank and leech field issue. They dispatched two men immediately and a hour later all was taken care of. They pointed out what was happening and why. 1000 gallons of waste removed for under 200 bucks. That was way less then expected. Excellent service and attitudes. highly recommend.

Due to the 2013 – 2014 extremely cold and snowy winter in Maine, we ended up with a frozen sewer line between our Waldoboro vacation home and its septic tank. We spend a good amount of time there even during the winter, and that no doubt contributed to it not freezing until recently due to regular use. Unfortunately, we had to spend a couple of weeks away, and when we returned on a Saturday, we discovered that the toilet wouldn’t flush and backed up into the shower(after plunging; we suspected a clog initially). Sunday morning I started calling around, and the sewer service organizations I spoke with kept referring me to Interstate in Rockland. However, when I called them, they appeared to offer an emergency telephone number exclusive to existing customers. I called it anyway.* A gentleman named Andy answered the call, asked a couple of questions to confirm that it was in fact a frozen sewer line, and told me he’d pick up the truck and head out to our place right after church. Good to his word, I heard from him shortly after noon and he arrived with a truck full of water and a «jetter» about an hour later. In the meantime, I chopped through frozen sod and a corner of my wife’s rock garden to locate the access cover for the inlet to the septic tank. Andy arrived just as I reached it. After a brief misadventure with a blown hose on the jetter, he had the sewer line running freely again. Through all of this, Andy was cheerful, engaging and seemed to be enjoying working with his customer. After the equipment was stowed, he handed me an invoice that was roughly half of what I was expecting to pay, and asked me to call the office on Monday to settle up. All in all, an excellent experience and I’m very pleased with the service. * Per Andy — the«existing customers» message on their answering service is to prevent people outside of their service area from calling. They’re focused on the mid-coast area and want to remain responsive to their local customer base.
