Established in 2006.

Evergreen Home Performance was founded by homeowners, for homeowners.

Since 2006, we’ve helped hundreds of people achieve a 25−50% reduction in their fuel usage through air-​sealing, insulation, and basement encapsulation. Our customers typically see a 10% return on their investment, but most tell us the biggest benefit is how much better their homes feel.

Evergreen was the Sierra Club’s 2010 Business Leader for the Environment and the Pen Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 Small Business of the Year.

Business Owner

Richard Burbank is Evergreen’s founder and president.

A Paris Le Cordon Bleu trained chef, Richard uses his prior career in fine cuisine to exceed customer expectations with exacting preparations and attention to customer service (insulating homes now, instead of people!). Richard is passionate about educating homeowners on energy efficiency and actively advocates for federal and state energy efficiency policy. He also takes an active role in ongoing education and mentoring of the Evergreen staff.
