Giuseppi’s Italian Restaurant & Pizza

Love this place favorite pizza has so much flavor and the price is perfect very affordable and the pizza is cheesy! The service is not always the best I find myself going to get stuff from the front a lot only complaint.

I don’t see how the pizza here is really good I got a basic thin-​crust pepperoni pineapple sausage it arrived as soon as you try to pull the pizza slice apart from pizza pre-​cut all the toppings just come out right off of it taste like a regular pizza there’s nothing special about it.
Better off with Pizza Hut im from the West Coast and not used to my pepperoni being underneath i like my pepperoni crispy and cooked and on top

Nice local Italian cuisine. Very inexpensive. I always go there when I am back in Rockford for an informal meal.

Nice family owned Italian restaurant. Interior nice, a bit dated but well maintained and clean. Service was very good. Came on a Friday PM — it was busy but we were seated within 10 minutes and got prompt service. Pizza was outstanding. Will be back to try some of their other entrees.

My favorite deep dish/​pan pizza in Rockford. Great everything, crust, toppings, sauce, and price. Dining in is sometimes cramped (smaller dining room) and nothing exciting when it comes to décor. But, I don’t care, the food and service is always the most important. Their prices are good, people are friendly and they have quick local delivery too.

This is my new favorite pizza in the Rockford area. Great crust, tangy sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. Yum!

took one hour and 45 mins when I was told it would be about a hour. The it got here and it was cooked at least a hour before it actually got here. This is the first time I order and I must say there dough was great but when I call to tell them about my cold and I mean COLD pizza with barley any sauce I got a rude teenage girl asking me what I want now that they served cold pizza.

This place sets itself apart from any other Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Rockford. While everything is amazing here, the pizza is what makes it a must go to place. Generous portions and can’t beat the low prices too!
You can tell the owners put a lot of work and thought into their business and really care about their customers. Every time I visit the owners always go out of their way to make sure I’m taken care of. As a customer of 30 years I’m sure I will be going to Guiseppi’s for a long time coming. Try a cannoli after dinner too, so yummy!

They have a great pizza, a five star in my book. While writing this review, I am tempted to give it lower then four stars because of the poor customer service I received on my last delivery. One of the pizza’s we received was wrong, when we called they had admitted they made a mistake, thats cool, it happens. This is where it goes down hill. They explain to us not to eat the pizza, they will pick up the wrong pizza and deliver a new one in an hour. We declined, having half the family eat and the other half watch is not an option. No offer to refund us, or a pizza on the house at a later date. We pick off the unwanted toppings and eat. This is where I change my review to 2 stars, I called and left a message with the person who answers the phone on Tuesday and Wednesday, asking to speak to a manager, that I received the wrong food. Both times my number was taken down, but I never received a call back. 2 stars is not because a mistake was made, it is a reflection of poor ownership/​management to not even return a call.

Stopped here during road trip because of excellent reviews. Ordered pan pizza which was pretty good. Toppings were very plentiful and good but the crust could be improved. Service was outstanding. The place was rundown. Price was too high.

This is my favorite Rockford pizza! I recently moved to chicago and I still think this is the best pizza. Every time I come back into town it’s always the first meal I have! The place has been around forever and is definitely a hidden gem in Rockford. 5 stars. More like 10 stars.

Their selections are superb, I recommend the Chicken Josephine been ordering it for years, they don’t disappoint, friendly staff. Bring friends and family for a great dinner!!!

Best Italian food in Rockford. The owners care about what they do and work very hard to provide the community with the best quality food. Well priced, great quality!!!

I remember having the best ever (besides my own) red sauce here. The dining room needs an update for sure, but it’s an old school place with seriously amazing food.

I live in Phoenix and come to Rockford on vacation every year. The family I stay with knows I have to have my Giuseppi’s fix. We went the first night I was here Aug 26. everything was great as usual. They have been going there for about for ever and know most of the employees by their first names. The next day Aug 27 there was a report that Giuseppi’s had a fire. Fortunately it was a false alarm. That would of ruined one of the reasons I travel 2000 miles for.

Best pizza in town, and friendly service.

I’ve ordered pizza from this place numerous times. Every time, it’s been great. I love the way they make it. It’s in a different category than Pizza Hut or Papa Johns. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, but I can tell you that the pizza is awesome.
Now that I’ve moved away, I miss it so much! One of the best pizza joints in the Rockford area.

Great little hidden mom & pop Italian restaurant. Excellent pizza sauce. I really like the baked mosticcoli and add ingredients like sausage, peppers and onions. The cozy dining room is always packed so be patient. Open after 4PM.
One thing to note, if you order extra sauce on your pie they will put it ON TOP of the cheese so be specific. I also prefer to order pizza well done so, there will be a little brown in the cheese, otherwise it will be melted but white.

Giuseppi’s is hole in the wall, and I mean that in the best way! Great sauce. Very reasonable prices. The menu is traditional pizza and pasta. I’ve had the chicken parmesan a couple of times and once it was good, the next time it was dry.
The service is always good, with servers that call you ‘hon’. There’s no alcohol served, so don’t plan on a glass of chianti. The lighting is bright and it is small inside. And, being an older, small building, the restrooms are, well, not the greatest. But that’s all part of the Giuseppi’s experience.
Friendly, fast, quaint, and excellent sauce make Giuseppi’s the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem.

Classic Mom and Pop Italian eatery. Wonderful food no matter what you’ chose on the menu. The pasta is always great, the sauce is amazing, the pizzas are some of the best in town by far. If you’re looking for something tasty I can’t help but recommend this wonderful place.
