Specialties

Come and enjoy the fall season at the orchard. .. all the apples have been picked and are waiting for you in bags. You can also choose your favorite pumpkins and enjoy some awesome apple donuts, award winning cider, fresh baked apple pie, ginormous caramel apples made with juicy honey crisp apples, honey, maple syrup, jams, salad dressings, craft items, hay wagon rides, farm animal corral, straw bale mini-maze, climbing bales, apple launcher, & more!

History

Established in 1981.

The orchard sits on land that was once a corn field. The land was purchased in 1981 and apple trees were planted shortly thereafter. Driveways were constructed, barns were built, two wells were drilled, a parking lot was constructed, and more trees were planted (including a few shade trees that I thought my customers might appreciate on hot days).

Curran’s Orchard now has over 3000 apple trees, 200 tart cherry trees, fall-bearing red raspberries, and pumpkins.. . along with awesome apple donuts, award winning cider, craft items, and lots of things to do and enjoy during the fall season!

The apple trees are sprayed at roughly ¼ of the recommended rate for commercial orchards. Customers who are extremely sensitive to chemicals tell me that they can only eat apples from Curran’s Orchard, because of reactions that they get when they eat apples from other orchards. It’s a challenge growing apples with a fraction of the spray, but I think it’s worth it.

Owinng an orchard is a dream I had many years ago. I am really fortunate to have a «job» that I love. I get a great deal of satisfaction out of watching families having fun and making memories at my orchard.
