Comcast Service Center

This review is not about the store, the store is always great when I went there. This is about the customer service over the phone, I set up service in August. I have cable and internet, well I did my signing up online. Well when the guy got here he was having trouble getting a signal. So it took him awhile (no complaints against him, he was awesome). So a month went past and I was having trouble with the WIFI staying up to 50 mbps. I called the customer service we did all the resetting and still did not work. They said they would send someone out between 8am-​8pm on a day. Well I took that day off work. No one ever showed up and no one ever called. So I called them the next day and I was furious, they said they will schedule someone to come out. I advised them I work during the day so it would be after 5pm someone would need to come. They said they wouldn’t be able to do that. I said it better happen. Well it didn’t happen. No one ever showed up. I called again and finally got someone out there. Between all the calls I also chatted with reps, I chatted with atleast 4 different reps about this and all put in the «tickets» to have someone come out (no one did). So when the technician came out he hooked it up and showed me the speed from the wireless modem and was not going above 10 mbps, so he hooked up my laptop to the modem and showed 50 mbps. He started saying it was my router, I said to him it wouldn’t be that because I have not had any problems with it until I hooked it up here. So I went out and bought a $ 130 router and still same problem. I called them when I saw they charge me $ 60 to have someone come out here and blame me and they were wrong. I told them they better take it off and she tried to argue with me. I told her it took almost two months to get someone out here so I would not pay that. They did take it off.
Now Comcast is lucky they are the only land provider in the area of Rockford, IL so I couldn’t switch to someone else. If I could switch trust me I would in a heartbeat.
Just watch out for this company. Don’t have the bill be automatically taken out of your account because they will rip you off soon!

The customer service at this office was superior. Nicole, the person who helped me, greeted me professionally by introducing herself. Helped me to return my equipment. And then she gave me her business card and said if ever I change my mind to call her directly and she will help to determine the service I may want. Friendly people. A real breath of fresh air.

I pay 85 $ a month for internet speeds that should be 15 Mbps but I only get around 5 Mbps I can’t even watch videos with out constant buffering and loading. Comcast has the worst internet on the market And I only live 1 min away from them down the street on kishwaukee. I wish I could changer my service provider but there is nothing I can change to in my area. I hate comcast they are scammers and liars.

Is there anything below a 1 star? This company continues to rip its customers off day in and out. I have Internet and house phone thru this company. Their cable is sub-​par compared to satellite tv so I have satellite. –Of course everyone seems to pay different amounts for their service and somehow Comcast gets away with it. If I were to cancel my phone then they can legally raise the amount of money I pay for internet only? That is ridiculous!
Let me break it down. If I have cable, phone and internet thru comcast say its $ 100 for all. Now if I cancel 2 things, doesn’t matter what, It will be more than $ 100 for one thing. Does that make sense to you? me either, but that is exactly what they tell their customers. I would like to know which politicians they pay off to get away with this fraud!

Worst customer service on earth. Lousy service and unbelievably poor attitudes. Constant price hikes for less and less. Non-​stop billing mistakes hoping you won’t notice or question.

I can’t believe I’m the first to review this place! If you ever have to displeasure of having your cable box break, or need to pay a bill or any other reason to step foot in this place, I feel bad for you. Everytime you go in there, there is a huge huge line. In the middle of winter, there was a line around the building. The staff is constantly standing around drinking and eating in front of customers. The people you actually deal with aren’t rude but the customer service is subpar. It’s like dealing with robots. I need this, here it is sir, bye. I have had numerous issues with Comcast itself which sucks because it causes me to have to go there.
