History

Established in 2003.

Midwest Data Center, Inc. is located in Rock Port, Missouri– a small town of 1400 residents located in Northwest Missouri almost equidistant from Kansas City, Missouri and Omaha, Nebraska. MDC was organized in 2003 and is a wholly-​owned subsidiary of Rock Port Telephone, an organization that has been in business since 1902.

Rock Port Telephone Company stepped out, capitalizing on their rural location and their fiber partnerships to form Midwest Data Center, a data security provider serving customers nationwide. The forethought of Rock Port Telephone meant that MDC already had access to an extensive redundant fiber infrastructure. Through the marketing of its data security product, additional needs were recognized and Midwest Data Center now serves clients from one end of the country to the other and is continuing to grow.
