Malarkey’s

Great crowd, great music! Always a good time! Def. going back.

So a group of us walked around the Rock Island District area and Malarkey’s seemed like THE place to be. It was crowded than most of the other bars and the music was poundin’. So we said that we’ll check this place out since everyone seems like they’re all having a good time and there was no cover charge. The bar was packed, people dancing on the little dance floor, and there were people playing beer pong. Next to the bar, they have a pool table and a dart board. Seemed like everyone in there was ordering jugs of beer. I, on the other hand, kept ordering shots. I was taking advantage because the shots here were cheap as well. So I walked around and made it by the dance floor. It was about a 10X8 dance floor and some song came on and everyone on that dance floor were doing line dancing! Wow! You never see that in LA. I wasn’t feelin’ the crowd very much because it seemed more like an 18+ joint. So after an hour and half, we all decided to bolt out and call it a night. I’d give it a one star, but since they have cheap shots, I’m giving it an extra star.
