Carolina Salvage U-Pull-It

I was unhappy with this experience. I was looking for a Jeep Cherokee rear bumper. The clerk gave a print out of the location of 5 Cherokees, but she said she did not know if they would have any available bumpers and that they «don’t inventory their parts.» My brother and I were charged $ 2 each just to be able to go out on the lot to see if they had the part. They didn’t have it. We called ahead and they did not mention this entrance fee on the phone. They just told us a bumper was $ 50 + a $ 3 core fee (whatever that means?) A salvage yard with a cover fee just for the ability to peruse their junk? Awful experience.

You pay $ 1.00 to get in, bring your own tools and have fun! Cars/​parts are like most junk yards… hit or miss. But I just enjoy seeing what’s new and thanks to Obama’s cash for clunkers program, there’s an influx of new & worthless parts.
Anyhow, you can always call ahead and see what they have in their inventory if you don’t have the time to walk the aisles.
They are very inexpensive, I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. I bought a roof rack bar for my Jeep Cherokee and it cost me 1 dollar! I bought an air vent for my Honda CRX that cost me 2 bucks, it didn’t fit, so they gave me a credit for next time.
Really nice «good olé boys» working there. Just down to earth people and they know their stuff.
