The Ultimate Tattoo & Piercing

Where to start? I called the same day I wanted my piercing and they fit me right in.
I had Elizabeth. She was absolutely incredible. I got my daith pierced and she was very knowledgable and helpful in aiding my in making my jewelry selections.
I was by myself and thus I was pretty damn nervous to have the procedure. But she was very reassuring.
It really did not hurt at all. It’s been almost 24 hours, and I don’t even notice it (unless I mistakenly put my earbuds in which I’ve done a few times-​ouch!)
On a whim I asked her about my navel– I had had it pierced, but removed the jewelry a few years ago.
She graciously made the time to look at it-​and it was still pierced! So I picked out a barbell and she «tethered» it for me to be able to fit the gauge.
I literally could not be happier with the service I received. I will certainly be returning for any other piercings I decide to get.
Do yourself a favor and go here!

My sister and I went in for matching tattoos on Friday and Natalie was very calming and friendly. It was first tattoo so I was nervous! She was patient when we asked for modifications and didn’t have a «heavy hand» while tattooing. I was surprised how well the whole process went! If I ever get another tattoo, I’d certainly entertain going back there!

I’ve come here three times now. I got my belly button pierced two and a half years ago by a young girl who did a fantastic job on mine. My roommates however, was completely crooked and looked terrible. Her stomach ended up rejecting the piercing and she got it removed 6 months later.
A year ago I got my rook pierced by an older woman. It was incredibly painful, she had to make two attempts to get it through my ear, and it bled for the entire day. She was not very nice to talk to and never had sympathy that I was in so much pain.
The rook piercing never healed correctly and ended up getting infected despite how well kept it was. I went back in today to get it removed and again, not a great experience. The woman spoke to me like I was dumb and didn’t know how to upkeep my piercing. They charged $ 5 to get it removed, which is fine. I’m glad I got the piercing taken out after all the pain my ear has been in, and I will not be returning.

I’ve never been especially impressed with the jewelry stock or the level of service offered by the owner. She seems pretty arrogant to me honestly. Only once did I risk it and ask her to change a piece of jewelry for me, and I got the impression that she has no idea what she is doing. What should have been a few minutes took fifteen, and she made me bleed. NEVER again.
In my opinion, the only thing that saves this place is Shawn Conn. Shawn is a sensational tattoo artist. He’s been doing his thing for a long time, and it absolutely shows in his work. Shawn is a beautiful human being all around. I first got tattooed by him when I was around 19 or 20 years old. He’s always been honest and forthcoming with his opinions about my tattoo ideas, but is respectful and kind if he needs to nix something for technical reasons. Most recently, I commissioned a digital painting from him for my boyfriend’s birthday. He communicated openly and regularly about the subject matter, sent multiple drafts for approval and made changes happily. The entire process was timely and affordable. The finished product exceeded my expectations.
Shawn would get five stars from me, while everything else about this place would get one. I split the difference at three stars for this review, because Shawn Conn is a treasure and getting work done by him as an absolute privilege.

My boyfriend wanted to get a tattoo as a tribute to his son, so we kind of went at the last minute. we were able to get an appt with Dan within 24 hrs. He did an excellent job and it came out exactly as we wanted it. My 16 year old daughter also had Tony pierce her nose. she has anxiety issues and he was just wonderful explaining everything before he did it. This place is wonderful and their prices are really good do. I would highly recommend and we will be returning in the future.

This place is awesome! I just got my nose pierced about 3 hours ago and it looks amazing! Ask for tony, this guy does wonders. I am the biggest pain and have the worst anxiety but he made it easier for me. He was so freaking kind, patient, and calm. He definitely knows what he’s doing and I promise you you’re in good hands. They take such good care of their place… It’s very clean and organized. Also the workers are so welcoming. Definitely recommend them… :-)

Came here yesterday to get an infected tragus piercing pierced from another company removed. Tony took care of getting it removed and was incredibly comforting and helpful as it was not the most painless piercing to get out. I had to pay 5 dollars to get it removed, which I was more than willing to give as it took about 45 minutes to remove the piercing with how badly my ear was infected. Overall, if I ever can stomach the idea of another piercing, I will definitely be going to him!

I gotta say that I very rarely write reviews on places, but I feel the need to write one for The Ultimate and for Tony V. I have not had any tattoo work done here, but have had all of my piercings done by Tony V. even before he was located at The Ultimate. When he moved to The Ultimate of course I had to follow him! The shop is definitely clean, well kept and welcoming. Tony is extremely professional, funny, calming if you’re anxious (I usually am despite the amount of metal I have in me) and takes his time to make sure that placement is just right. I’ve known Tony for just about 8 or 9 years through his work and honestly, I would never go to anyone else for a piercing. When anyone asks me where to go, I tell them to go see him. I strayed once on a whim and went to another shop in Rochester and let me just say that was the first and last time– they didn’t even stack up. That piercing is now closed because the piercer was not as knowledgeable and didn’t do it correctly.
Tl;dr: go see Tony V at The Ultimate for all of your piercing needs, you won’t be disappointed.

Best place for piercings and tattoos, period! Everything is very clean and professional. Needles are single use, and the artists always wear gloves. Jewelry is sterilized, floors are vacuumed, and the staff is just a lovely group of people. Giancarlo did my wrist tattoo and it looks fantastic. Tony has done all my piercings (two conch, two tragus, microdermal, and eyebrow) and was always very courteous. Will be visiting again!

I got my first tattoo here with sue. she is the best, she loves color and is great with black and gray tattoos. I ready have my next planned. I’ve been researching tattoo places for 5 years and I will only go to sue.

I’ve had almost all of my tattoo work done here and have recommended several other people to go here as well. When I first showed up with my ink concept the original artist I thought I wanted to have do it recommended another person there because they were better suited to that style. I was apprehensive at first but I’m very happy with the recommendation. It came out amazing. The shop is very clean and the staff is incredibly professional. This isn’t a shop where the artists have elitist attitudes or make you feel like an idiot when going in for your first tattoo. They are very informative and helpful.

So far so good, I looked through some of the artists sample books to see whose work aligned most with what I had in mind, and who had strong cover ups. I made an appointment and felt listened too and as if my ideas would meld well with the vision she had. I’m sure I’ll update after the real deal.

Tony was awesome! Made us feel really comfortable & was completely upfront and honest. It was a great experience, especially for being an out-​of-​towner! The prices were good & everything was very clean. He talked us through the whole thing & did a great job! Highly recommend this place!

I got my first tattoo here literally on the spur of the moment. I had gotten my nose pierced here and had a great experience and I had been wanting to get this tattoo for a long time, so when I drove past Ultimate again I just decided to do it.
The artist who did my tattoo was Jeff I believe. I told him what I wanted and he made the design quickly and just how I wanted it. The tattoo was pretty small so it only took about a minute. It didn’t hurt too bad and it definitely wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. My tattoo turned out very nicely and Jeff was reassuring during the process. The only complaint I have is that one of the letters in my tattoo is an E and the bottom leg of it bends slightly down so that’s gonna bug me, but it’s a nice tattoo and very sentimental for me.
$ 50, it’s about the size of a nickel. $ 50 is their minimum for tattoos. I would definitely recommend Ultimate for tattoos and piercings alike.

Had my nostril pierced, no complaints. $ 50 not sure what the going rate is, it was spur of the moment.

This place is great! It was very clean and professional. I had my cartilage pierced here (needle) and it is healing nicely. The man piercing was very clean with all of his equipment, and was fun to talk to. He did a great job of telling me about how to properly care for my earring, and even let me have a Snapple for free to keep from fainting after the piercing. Great place! Would definitely come back here for another piercing if I wanted one in the future.

I went here for my 5^th tattoo. I’ve gotten the rest of my tattoos from a great place in Syracuse (Where I’m from), so I was nervous to go somewhere else but my husband got one from there a few years back that came out great.
When I first went in to make an appointment, they were friendly and asked if I had a preference for an artist since I had a simple tattoo that didn’t take too much skill. I didn’t so they looked for who could get me in first. I like that because in other shops for a simple tattoo anyone can do, they generally give it to a specific person they like or is up to be next in line to get a tattoo no matter when the openings are available.
They kept the picture i provided of my tattoo and had it drawn up and ready before I got there.
The day of my tattoo, I didn’t have to wait long and since they already had my tattoo drawn up they just checked the sizing compared to the location and got to work. I got words written on my lower side and he went fairly quickly but did well. He went over aftercare and healing with me and gave my a pamphlet as well.
I was very happy with his work and it healed great. I will continue to go there as my Rochester place for tattoos.

This place was great. I went to get my septum pierced. The woman piercing is a Registered Nurse so you know that everything is going to be clean. She went over the procedure and even told me I don’t have an ideal nose for the piercing, instead of just doing it. She left the final decision up to me. I decided to get it done and couldn’t be happier. It is a very professional place. They also tattoo here. Nothing is done out in the open, the piercer has her own room as well as each of the tattooers. If you have a current high school or college I.D. you get a 10% discount, or at least that deal was going on when I went (it cost me $ 58.50). There isn’t a great deal amount of parking so if your going on a busy day parking might be hard to come by.
