This park is located downtown in the middle of the concrete jungle. I would comment on the trash strewn about but I’ve noticed trash all over the city. It’s very different to see so much trash all over a city and kind of sad. In any case even though I don’t think winter is an excuse I’m hoping the city will pick up the trash in this park and all over. It’s a relatively small park with a statue of the Poet Schiller and just enough grass to run your dog around in. It does not have a playground and is more of a sit and read a book kind of park. It definitely has a lot of potential if shown a little care and attention. It’s located next to the Innerloop and is fairly ideal if you live downtown and want to walk your dogs or find a patch of green. I’m very appreciative for this park being here but hope it grows as more people move downtown and I also hope that people take more pride in this town and start using trash cans. Save our parks.
