Rochester Airport Marriott

*Pricey hotel with no complimentary breakfast, but they provide a full cash bar (or charged to your room). Weigh your pros & cons with this & the Fairfield Marriott across the ³⁹⁰⁄₁₀₄.
We were in my husband’s hometown and we had decided to stay at the hotels instead of our in-​laws for the fact we were in town for our friends’ wedding events. That meant a lot of space, ironing, and bathroom time was required and the accommodation of having our own personal space at the hotel was more than ideal. We had stayed at a cheaper hotel across the street (Fairfield) for 2 nights prior to staying at the Airport for the wedding reception parties.
Apparently this hotel is one of the older hotels on this side of Greece and don’t let the price fool you into thinking it’s the better deal. If you’re looking to impress– the Airport may be for you but if you’re looking for simple accommodations like a room and breakfast… the Fairfield is the better one.
The reason why I’m stating this is I had learned that this hotel does NOT offer complimentary breakfast like the Fairfield. I questioned why and learned that due to the fact the Airport has a full bar & Starbucks (not complimentary either) allows their guests to enjoy their buzz without going out. They also have an indoor pool, hot tub, gym, etc. It has it’s luxury perks, but I didn’t think to bring my swimsuit in the middle of November.
Just because a hotel costs more doesn’t mean it’s any better than the basic hotel that offers a free breakfast and free coffee. Yes, I do love my breakfast and coffee the minute I wake up.

Quick get away for a night. The bed was super comfy. Helpful staff, hot shower. In a good location near lots of spots to eat.
As elite members, we got a free continental breakfast since the lounge is closed on weekends. This included make-​to-​order omelettes.
It’s about a 5 – 10 minute drive to the airport.
We’d stay here again.

I almost always stay at Hilton properties, so I felt like I was cheating on my hotel main squeeze by staying at this property. I was, begrudgingly, pleased with this hotel though, especially when the fact that it is technically an airport hotel is considered. I might, maybe, consider another Marriott in the future.
This property was my home away from home for a week, and was well-​situated for getting to and from the airport as well as for the work purposes that brought me to the area. It’s also somewhat trying on your cognitive load to come back to a hotel after working a long day to then think about where to eat or run errands at, so this property also worked from the perspective of having just enough restaurants and retail shopping to make a week-​long stay less painful.
My room was well-​appointed with a separate couch and desk area to work at. The housekeeping was somewhat intermittent in terms of quality and care. The hotel gym was small, but had enough cardio equipment and weightlifting equipment for a decent workout. The one thing that did actually irk me though was no free coffee in the lobby in the morning. Thank goodness a Starbucks is right down the road because paying for hotel lobby coffee is just not okay.

Hi just stayed here for three nights, people are nice but totally incompetent. Hot tub is 87 degrees not 102 as advertised. Pool is ice cold. No one uses either. Gym is very small. Two rooms were over 400 per night. Beds are very uncomfortable. Food is outrageously expensive. No washer or dryer. Much better value down the road. Do not stay here u will be ripped off like us. We changed hotels after 3 nights and will never come back.

What a great hotel. I had come here years ago and didn’t remember it being so nice. It looks like it’s gone through a pretty substantial remodel. The rooms are great, clean, comfortable beds. The bar downstairs is well stocked. It’s funny because it looks like some trendy NYC bar, but in Greece ny.

I don’t know about all the good reviews. But for me the price over 200 $ for a king bed. When I check in the room we had 2 beds, the customer service can’t do anything for us. I checked for the reward point and same thing they can’t do nothing for me. What a day. The room is very small no view the window blocked. Check out the pictures

As a family of four (two parents, a 7 year-​old girl, and a 4 year-​old boy), we came to the Marriott for a three day weekend getaway that coincided with my partner’s work conference on site. The hotel was clean, the rooms nicely decorated (although a bit cramped) and most of the staff truly gracious and helpful. We stayed on the 7^th floor in a room with two full-​sized beds. The beds were firm but very comfortable with two feather pillows on each bed and a down comforter. Good shower, nice toiletries, absorbent (but not especially soft) towels. The indoor pool was lovely! Mildly heated and clean, it was a great place to hang with the kids. There was also a jacuzzi and a sauna (although the sauna was sometimes locked and sometimes not, so you have to plan ahead and call the front desk to have someone unlock it – a sign posted next to the sauna explaining all this would be helpful). We opted for the breakfast buffet to be included in our room rate ($ 164/​night with breakfast included, no taxes or fees included (add another 23 bucks a night for all that)). The buffet consisted of pretty typical hotel fare. It was good enough, with some basic vegetarian options available. No sensitivity to gluten issues, but soy milk was available for those who don’t/can’t do milk. I found the waitstaff to be a little chatty with each other, especially on the weekend, which was a little annoying. I moved my table as a result.
Overall, a nice place to stay with good amenities and good staff.

I stay over 100 nights a years in Marriotts and this is the cleanest one that I have stayed in.
It smells fresh and the service is the best. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for two nights for a wedding. The reception was also held here was well. The banquet room was large and table set up was nice. The food was just okay but that is to be expected at any chain place.
The hotel rooms where clean and quiet. They were able to keep most of the wedding guests next to each other. The honeymoon suite was great.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my life, so I’m pretty picky. But I really do like the Rochester Airport Marriott. It’s clean, the bed and sheets are soft, and I’m not afraid to touch anything. On top of that, I’ve found the staff to be very polite and accommodating. I once had to change a reservation by a month due to a death in the family, and while it cost me more to switch the flight and car, Marriott adjusted things with no problem and no fee.
I also appreciate the location, right down the street from the mall and restaurants. I haven’t lived in Rochester in ten years, so I’m starting to forget how to get places!
I would like to know why it’s called the «Airport» Marriott, as it’s nowhere near the airport! Still, this is my Rochester hotel of choice.

The hotel was nice and easy to get to. However, the service was a bit lacking. We requested a king sized bed, but it took us three attempts to get it.
The first two rooms had doors connecting the neigboring room, which did not filter out any of the noise. We could hear every flush, every time the tv channel changed. The noise made it difficult to get

Pleasant surprise. Just flew into Rochester late and the hotel sent a special car to the airport to retrieve me. The driver was extremely friendly – I felt like I had just been picked up by one of my parents.
The hotel itself looks like it was just built yesterday. It’s a standard new, shiny hotel. My room here (from which I am now Unilocaling) is immaculate – king sized bed with fluffy white covers, slick mahogany desk without a particle of dust and gleaming kohler faucets in the bathroom. The color scheme is neutral (rich browns, creams, and taupes) with accents of red. For a cookie cutter corporate hotel, I’m pleased with everything thus far. Also, super nice and cheery service at the front desk – especially considering I checked in at 10PM on July 4.

One of the most nicely refurbished hotel properties for business travelers I’ve seen in a long time! There’s a nice fireplace in the lobby, a really nice lounge, great little fitness center, nice pool, and the guest rooms have been beautifully refurbished with comfortable and useful furniture, decent toiletries, and great wireless access with no extra charge.
The reservations team here is great – I called and booked four rooms for myself and three colleagues and the young woman who took the reservation quickly found the correct discounted rate, booked all four reservations accurately and sent me 4 email confirmations to forward to my teammates – they came chirping into my Outlook inbox within seconds of me spelling my colleagues’ names. She was cheerful, businesslike, and knew what she was doing. Every detail of all 4 reservations was well done.
There’s a nice bowl of fruit on a pedestal in the lobby, too.
I’d give 5 stars if the internet access was wireless, but I was so happy not to futz with the connection and have it work flawlessly and speedily from the moment I attached my cord.
