History

Established in 1991.

In 1991, Pro-​Tech founder, Michael Weagley began a small welding and fabrication business out of his parent’s garage. Within a few short years Pro-Tech’s reputation as a top fabricator in the Central New York region grew and by 1997 the company moved their headquarters to a 30,000 sq ft building, in which they currently reside. Pro-Tech’s success can be attributed to the company’s commitment to excellence and providing large-​company capabilities but with the attention to detail and customer service that is often found in a smaller organization. Today Pro-​Tech offers a variety of steel processing and fabricating services that will meet the needs of companies both large and small in a variety of industries:

The name «Pro-​Tech» came from one of founder Mike Weagley’s childhood welding instructors. The instructor would call Mike’s work «Pro-​Tech», meaning that it was the best he could possibly do. That commitment to excellence continues today and can be found in every area of our company.
