History

Established in 1934.

Earl Piepho purchased three moving trucks in 1952 and started Piepho Moving & Storage in Albert Lea, MN. Though the company started small with only a few employees, Piepho Moving & Storage quickly developed a reputation in Albert Lea as great movers with unrivaled customer service.

Piepho Moving & Storage expanded to Rochester, MN with our sister company Rochester Transfer & Storage in 1970; Mankato, MN in 1975; La Crosse, WI in 1981; and Minneapolis — St. Paul, MN in 1986. Piepho Moving is an agent of Allied Van Lines. Two of Earl’s sons, Larry and Jeff, currently own and manage the business, and other family members are active in the company.

Today the company is an Allied Van Lines agent and has:

* 80 trained and courteous employees

* Over 100,000 sq. ft. of secure, climate controlled storage warehouses at its four locations.
