Prices are average compared to other area diners. Attentive and friendly staff. Food was very good and came out quickly.

The food is what you would typically find at a diner. The turkey clubs are my favorite. The turkey is «real» as advertised and I’m never disappointed. I have been very disappointed in the soups. The thing that I can’t excuse is the service. The place is always busy I’ll give them that. But they’re not new guys. The Parkside has been there for years. The staff has too for the most part. If you don’t mind a surly inattentive server you’ll be fine. If you are a regular and they know you, you’ll do better. If you order take out you may or may not feel like they were totally annoyed that you called. I’d come back more often if I felt like they valued my business but I never feel like they do. Judging by the popularity in the neighborhood I guess they don’t care. So they’ll be fine without my business.

I’ve been coming here since I was an infant. Still one of the best diners in Rochester. The food is standard dinner fare, so if you eat too much, you’ll feel it for the rest of the day. But the people have always been friendly and they’re good about keeping your coffee cup full.

Parkside Diner is all around OK! It’s the closest diner to my parents house so my SO often hit it up to split a hangover omelet which is an omelet filled and topped with their chilli and cheese, served with potatoes and toast. The portion is huge so we split it, looking around it looks like portion sizes are extremely generous in general. I’ve really only ever eaten the hangover omelet but given that the ingredients are good and the eggs are cooked well I wouldn’t be too scared to try their other breakfast creations. Coffee is meh, tastes like coffee flavored water and there isn’t fresh creamer — only the ultra pasteurized singles on the table. Even though I’m not fond of their coffee it is annoying when the waitress only gets around to refill it once. Even when the entire place is packed food comes out pretty fast and it also seems a lot easier to get a table for two on crowded weekend mornings than for a larger party, personally I’m a fan of the micro-booth in front of the door and the counter.

Friendly staff, great food. It’s a perfect breakfast spot. The Hollandaise on the Eggs Benedict was delightfully tart and tasty.

Found this diner on accident… 6 starving people in need of a hearty breakfast and this place did not disappoint. Great food! Omelettes were excellent and pancakes were yummy. Service was good but could have been a wee bit better… We had to keep asking for things… Forks, spoons, knives, milk for coffee etc. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

We are a local family– two out of three times had poor outcomes with this restaurant. We have collectively decided not to frequent this restaurant any longer. During one visit my daughter’s pancakes were partially raw. When we said something to the waitress it was corrected but not until my daughter was almost done with the rest of her meal. The second time we had very rarely done poached eggs. This was something that could’ve easily been corrected, however the waitress never came back to check on our table until she brought over the check. The times we visited it had not been overly busy. The restaurant staff just didn’t seem to have any interest in taking that extra step to ensure customer satisfaction.

Our home away from home… A comfortable place with old school charm… We come here a few times during the year when I’m too lazy to cook and we love it… Great menu and a friendly staff… Nestled in lovely Sea Breeze NY it’s a stone throw away from Durand Eastman park, The Bay, Lake Ontario and the Sea Breeze amusement park… Right next to the restaurant is an old timey miniature golf course… I have been there for breakfast many times and it’s a favorite stop for me when I’m off work during the week… Stop by for some good old fashioned chow and enjoy the feel of days gone by…

The food has been great every time I have gone there but the servers and hostess are always super unfriendly and uninterested in their guests. I live two blocks away and barely go because the staff turns me off so badly every time.

Have went there twice now and both times were not great. First time the food was mediocre, I asked for a refill and when my drink got back to me my cup had lipstick on it. Problem with that is I was not wearing lipstick and I am not a female… Second visit I ordered breakfast and the pancakes were gritty and greasy tasting. The service was horrible, I only saw my waitress three times the entire visit. Ordering, delivery of food, check. Its okay though I didn’t need a couple refills of water or coffee anyways!

I love this place, but I’m a sucker for Diners. I always have breakfast, no matter the time of day. I like to sit at the counter near the window to the kitchen so I can eavesdrop on the waitresses – always fun! The food is delicious, reasonably priced, with generous portions.

If you want a typical diner experience — look no further. Parkside Diner doesn’t have an identity crisis — it knows what it means to be a diner and delivers on it’s part. So what does it mean to be a diner? I think of a menu full of breakfast staples like pancakes and eggs, a smattering of burgers and hot sandwiches, a few entrees and dinner specials, and a rotating carousel of desserts spinning off the the side. Check, check and check(minus the dessert carousel. It was out of order at the time). My dinner companion and I got sandwiches — a French Dip and Reuben. Have I had better? You betcha! Have I had worse? I’m sure of it. The french dip was decent — the meat could have been more tender and the au jus could have been tastier and less salty. But, it was fine enough. The reuben had thick cuts of corned beef between two slices of rye bread. It was the better sandwich of the two, but wasn’t mind-blowing. I’ll be back to the Parkside, but won’t put it high on the list(unless I’m craving a diner).

A quaint little diner that would have been almost too stereotypical if it had a homemade pie on the counter and had the look of an old airstream. The servers were friendly and attentive, and the«warm Roast Beef»(aka, French Dip), was pretty tasty. The au jus wasn’t mind-blowing but it worked. My girlfriend went with the reuben and, although it says it’s a #1 seller(and our server told us it was her favorite dish on the menu), I wasn’t a fan. To each their own I guess. Should you find yourself in Irondequoit and feel like some diner food, I’d say give Parkside Diner a shot. I’ve been told they have a pretty good fish fry and if I’m ever there again, I’d like to check out their desserts and/or root beer floats. There’s just something about a diner that makes me think they have to have good de

So the menu here was what you’d expect from a diner, lots of open face sandwiches, a couple greek dishes, burgers, etc. I’d give the food 3 stars– it was about what you’d expect from a diner– I got a ruben that was decent — a little heavy on the saurkraut and a little light on the corned beef– but tasty. My wife got a burger that was cooked well– she asked for medium rare and that’s what she got– which is nice for a change — but it was way under seasoned. The kids fried chicken definetly came frozen from a box. My main beef though was that, in a relatively empty restaurant, they sat us in a booth where the forced air heat was blowing directly up underneath our table. It was on the whole time we sat there which created a micro-climate that felt like Southeast Asia. I kept thinking that at some point the heat would shut off as it was sweltering in this little place, and moving to a new table after settling in with 2 kids isn’t as easy as it sounds– so we kept thinking we’d tough it out. Not a good choice as this made for a very uncomfortable meal. Overall, the food wasn’t bad, but next time we’re in the area we’ll try to find someplace we like better rather than return.

If you’re looking for a casual diner with great food, I highly recommend Parkside. For the past three years, I have been here for dinner on Valentine’s Day, and this year was no different. On V-Day, they have a list of specials featuring ribs, turkey, and several other selections. The dinner includes soup, a vegetable, a potato, beverage, and dessert. I got the turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, chicken soup, and steamed vegetables. It was great and plentiful, just as it has been each year. The turkey was cooked to perfection, and I had to take some home in a doggie bag. If that wasnt enough, I ordered rice pudding for dessert. It was heavenly. All in all, I recommend coming here for a casual dinner outing. They also have great specials on Friday night, and you will leave satisfied and without an empty wallet.

After an early morning(ok, 9:30 isn’t *early* for most people, but it is for me) went long, we were starving for some breakfast(is it brunch on days other than Sunday?). The diner had only a few other tables occupied and things were definitely mellow. 11 am was still too early for the lunch crowd I guess. We were seated at a booth for 2 ½(hostesses words, but mine, too). She brought over water and I asked for coffee because I wasn’t actually aware she wasn’t our server and wasn’t responsible for the coffee but she brought it with a smile nonetheless and also asked what my husband wanted(coffee, too). This wasn’t clear to me until our actual server popped over to ask what we’d like to drink. 3 cheers for a friendly and helpful hostess! The coffee($ 1.79 w/free refills) was nothing special, but also not gross. With plain or vanilla creamer cups, they give you options to dress it up. Our server mentioned she could still honor the breakfast specials, which ended a few minutes earlier at 11. My husband perked up at this and decided to take advantage of the #5 croissant breakfast sandwich($ 4.99). I stuck with my usual, Eggs Benedict($ 7.99), while the kid had a side of bacon and whole wheat toast. and JUICE. Which was a late addition, but she brought it over before he could change his mind to chocolate milk. Kid cup with a bendy straw. While we waited for our meals, we were kept entertained by the flatscreens at either side of the room, sound off but captions on. One was set to Price Is Right, the other to ESPN Sports Center(or some similar sports news show). It is a tad distracting and a tad more anti-conversation with each side of the booth watching a different show. So we turned out attention to the paper placemats in front of us. We noticed they slyly showcased their desserts right in the middle, bordered by ads for local businesses. It made me feel like this place has been around awhile and has a good local following. The food arrived! Not too long of a wait, but I was absolutely starving so my anticipation was high. Upon first bite, my expectations were not met. There was some weird seasoning, possibly Seasoned Salt or a bbq or I dunno what. But it wasn’t supposed to be in Hollandaise. Yes, I know, this is a diner, what are you doing ordering a benny at a diner. Let me tell you, I have had some great bennies at diners. Ok, I have had decent Eggs Benedict’s at diners. My standards vary for the location. Really, I have hopes that I’ll some day find an amazing Benedict at a small non-assuming hole in the wall and it will be my secret. That, and I really enjoy hollandaise. So, back to why this was one was so blegh. The second bite disproved the first and brought into question if it was the hashbrowns that were contaminating my breakfast. I swear I almost spit them out. Whatever the seasoning is… they should stop. It’s not really actually bad, it’s just not right. Something is just off. And overpowering. I had the option of home fries and next time I will definitely take it. I might opt for an omelet or french toast instead, though, the benedict just wasn’t memorable(which will mean I’ll forget and order it again). My husband devoured his sandwich and his hashbrowns and my hashbrowns and tried to steal the kid’s toast. The kid’s bacon was perfectly crispy — not burnt but it had snap to it. The table is well stocked with a selection of jams(grape, strawberry, orange marmalade). Our check was brought pretty much as soon as we were given our plates, but it was nice to have it ready when we we done. The cashier is at the front, so the server didn’t need to check on us but she did continue to fill our mugs. If my husband was rating it, he’d give this place 4 stars but I keep telling him to write his own reviews and so A-OK it is.

Best Mom n Pop diner in town or any other town nearby! The steak and eggs is a great deal and tastes better than I’ve had anywhere else! You want that home town feel and without the huge check? Here ya go! Can’t wait to get back home and get some of their cooking.

Been going for years. A must every time I return home. Great breakfast. I always get the croissant sandwich breakfast special with egg cheese and sausage — real sausage pattie! Homefries. They have red hot and not tobasco but I enjoy asking for Tabasco so I can hear the waitress say, «we have red hot!». Beware every day seems to be a holiday so you might not get the special price«cause it’s a holiday!» Irondequoit at it’s best!
