Always on time with delivery, even early! Still the cheapest pizza place around and tastes better than competitors! So happy this is a place I can rely on for good food!

It’s great if you don’t mind waiting forever for your food and you don’t mind if it’s burned. They used to be a decent place but there are certainly better joints out there.

I order from here often. I love the bread bowls. Subs are good too. I am getting one right now :)

The pizza here is pretty good. I always ask for thin crust and light sauce. Always get what I ask for. Still not quite Brooklyn style but close!

It’s a pizza and wings day!!! I recently moved and wanted to find a local pizza place to call my pizza place. Well, let’s give a try for Mr. Shoes Pizza. I ordered breaded chicken pizza and 10 wings. Their wing sauce selections were very limited, Mild, Medium, Hot, Boss, BBQ or Sweet and sour. So I ordered medium. Wing sauce was ok, it tasted peppery. Not my likings for medium sauce, heat should come from somewhere else than pepper. But generally liked their wings. What about their pizza? Well, first off, I was not happy about my chicken not being breaded. What did I order? Breaded chicken! So that was a great turned down for me. After that, pretty much my taste buds has decided to be unhappy because of this mistake. Their crust was ok, not to thick, not too thin. Sauce was regular as well. Another thing that did not reach my expectation was that beside of making mistake of my topping, the amount of topping was HORRIBLE. It was not even half cup for chicken for a large pizza. Some piece did not even have chicken on it. Disappointed!!! I don’t like to decide my review with one mistake, so I will give them another chance in near future, and if they are great– then I will amend this review but until then, I will not recommend this place based on this one visit I experienced.

Just discovered this place recently and it’s now my favorite. I had some sweet & sour wings at a friends party and couldn’t believe how great they were! Also, the blue cheese that comes with them is awesome, has this great smoky flavor to it. Started ordering pizza & wings on the regular and was also impressed with their customer service, which is hard to come by these days. And the price is right of course! Good coupon specials :)

Mr. Shows loves going to Broadway to watch Phantom and such. Whereas Mr. Sheers loves to wear women’s stockings(but who doesn’t). Mr. Shea’s often goes to Buffalo to see shows downtown in that old Main St Theatre. And Mr. Shahs is a former Iranian dictator. Thankfully none of those people own this place(except maybe the stockings guy but that’s everyone isn’t it? No? Just me?). I liken this place to Country Sweet, in that they make sweet pizza and extremely sweet, hot, syrupy«Rochester style» wings. You cannot get wings like this anywhere else in the world, except maybe on this road. Country Sweet charges more, but honestly I like them more. They’re bigger, they’re saucier, and the spice will blow your head off while also making you scowl from sweetness. Don’t get me wrong though. These wings are really good. I don’t give out 4 stars lightly. Okay, I do, but in this case, the wings are actually good. The pizza tastes a little weird, so I recommend sticking to the wings, true Rochester wings. Try them here, try them down the road at Country Sweet, and see which ones you like better.

We were in town on vacation and decided to try a local pizza for dinner. We originally thought we might eat in, but there were six of us and the seating consists of 4 small(four top) booths-so we decided to take it back to our hotel. The service was great-very welcoming and friendly as soon as we walked in the door. We had no idea what we wanted(and had three(excited-goofy) kids with us and they were completely patient as we figured it out. The best part was the pizza. All six of us were very happy once we started eating. Even the pickiest of the kids ate more pizza than usual. The prices were great too! Very delicious, inexpensive meal for six!

Really good pizza. Staff focused on customer service. They had a rush of 12 people at lunch in 5 minutes, which went through slices quickly. Within 5 more minutes new pizzas were available and everyone was served. Those that had to wait were told that more pizza was coming out.

Mr. Shoes is pretty good. I’ve had both their pizza and their burger and I can say that the burger was pretty good. Ordering that from a pizza place can be hit or miss, so the fact that I got a hit goes a long way for when someone is craving pizza in my house and I just want a burger.

I’ve eaten from Mr. Shoe’s for about 5 times already. but I never remembered to Unilocal because frankly. it was never memorable. Until Today. Today, I bookmarked the Unilocal page so I can finally acknowledge that their pizza tastes. plasticky. Had the pepperoni and the cheese. they are just not extraordinary. in taste or presentation. Wow, cool cut squares. Convenient for me to not feel bad leaving crust, but that’s about it. 2 stars is being nice. Sorry, I just miss good pizza!

I’m giving it 5 stars simply because I can’t find many solid wings where I now live. During late night study sessions Mr Shoes was one of our old standby’s. The pizzas are generous with a thick, tasty, doughy crust. They put on a generous amount of sauce that has a good, sweet flavor. Lots of good cheese and great toppings. I grabbed a pepperoni for lunch today and it didn’t disappoint. The wings, as they were five or more years ago, are still large, covered in a crispy breading, and coated in a delicious hot sauce with a good kick and subtle sweetness(perhaps brown sugar)? A solid«Rochester wing» and what I dream of after any disappointing wing experience in the other Flour City(Minneapolis). Once upon a time, when not in the mood for a red cause, I would order the potato pizza. It’s a solid choice if you’re down with fried potatoes, cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream on thick dough.

Mr. Shoes has a loyal customer for life. Their wings are amazing. Being from Buffalo, I know a good chicken wing when i taste one. These wings have a touch of sweetness in their sauce which gives it a good balance. The medium wings clear my sinuses out pretty well too. I can’t say i haven’t liked anything i’ve ever ordered from Shoes, because i love everything. Just yesterday i ordered the fish sub with tartar sauce and american cheese. amazing. I can’t say i’ve had any bad customer service experiences either. I’m within their delivery zone so I often get that, and sometimes it can take a while but that usually happens on saturday nights around dinner time, so it is to be expected. Their online ordering is perfect for socially awkward people like me, and they email you when its being made and when it is out for delivery. In short, i love mr. shoes pizza! Also, if you spend more than $ 15 you get a free container of Cinnamon«toes» which are deep fried, cinnamon sugar bites that are so amazing and buttery and sweet. But if you are going to ask for them make sure you are not going to eat the whole thing alone, because you might get diabetes.

I think it’s under the radar. The wings are crispy almost have a touch of spice rub on them. Combined with the blue cheese which is airy and sort of whipped with a touch of garlic… awesome. Lastly the pizza is really solid, they’ll make it thin if you ask too. All in all, way better then the big rochester chains like marks or salvatores.

Recently gave Mr. Shoes a shot because Grub Hub is running a $ 5 off $ 10 orders promo, and chubby guys love free food! So I ordered the«Big Daddy Jay’s» Cajun Black ‘n’ Blue Steak Bomber and a side of fries. Came to like $ 7.00 after the $ 5 off. The fries were ok, kinda soggy by the time I got home due to condensation but not too bad. The problem was, they were little. They were like shoe string thin and like 2 –3 inches long, kind of hard to eat them that way. I probably just got unlucky and ended up getting the bottom of the bag =(. As for the sandwich… It’s described as such«Our world famous steak topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms, bacon, bleu cheese dressing, and mozzarella.» Only problem? They forgot the blue cheese dressing… Kind of one of the corner stones of the sandwich. I wouldn’t get food from these guys again, there are just better choices with better food and cooks who don’t forget main ingredients.

«Rochester style» pizza for sure, but danged good rochester style pizza, and they do a decent thin crust if you ask nicely. They do decent subs as well; wings are hit or miss Friendly service, generally very quick to deliver and reasonable prices.

Lived in Rochester, NY until March of 2011, and Mr. Shoes was always our top pizza place to order from. We would also get Cinnamon Toes or this really good chocolate peanut butter cake thing that they have. Pizza night for us was once a week. Delivery was either on time or early. We always got phenomenal customer service. Prices are great as well!

Great Western NY pizza place. I got a medium one-topping pie and 10 wings — hot. The pie had a thick-ish upstate NY crust, tangy sauce, and was cheesy. The wings had an atypical sauce, and I often prefer that. Being from Buffalo, I enjoy tasting different takes on the traditional hot sauce. All I need are well-coated and seasoned wings. These had a great kick of heat, but the sauce was cut with a little more oil and the wings were moist and a touch sweet.
