History
Established in 1998.
In 1998, Bill Edwards founded Lumiere Photo – selling photography and archival supplies. As digital technology emerged, Bill continued to honor past photographic processes, but welcomed the added creative tools afforded image makers by creating a Digital Lab Custom Framing Department at Lumiere Photo. Throughout the evolution of Bill’s photographic career, there remains a constant – integrity of quality products and service. Lumiere Photo has become one of the most progressive archival framing and digital imaging service companies.

Over thirty years ago, an RIT grad named Bill Edwards founded a company dedicated to promoting fine arts photography – selling photo books from the back of his Volkswagon Squareback.
Bill went on to found Light Impressions Corporation, which became an industry leader in archival supplies and standards. Edwards sold his interest in Light Impressions and is no longer connected with the company. However, he has continued serving regional photographic and educational needs through his continued stewardship of Spectrum Gallery that he founded in 1970.
In 1998, Bill founded Lumiere Photo.
