Hollywood Supermarket

I just love Hollywood Mkt. in Rochester. It’s the cleanest grocery store ever. The bargains are real mark downs, not marked up, then a tiny bit down to call it a «sale». The meat and seafood is excellent, beating most other stores by leaps and bounds ! The ground beef is so lean that often I have to add a bit of oil when frying. You will never find any browning on ANY of the fruits and vegetables. Another plus of Hollywood is they donate tons of food to Forgotten Harvest to feed hungry low income families every week. Once you shop here you’ll be hooked.

Wow, what a difference this place is from the other Hollywood that I used to go to off Opdyke! Clean, well organized, and spacious! Totally night and day.
I came here today to pick up a few groceries, and it’s really a nice grocery store. Great selection of items, friendly staff, nice deli and meat department as well. They have good prices on stuff, but I will say it’s not as cheap as other places. The prices are fair, but things like their sandwiches, detergents and other stuff can get pricey.
I will return in the future, and have always loved coming here.

I do not get to this location as often as others, but it is truly 5 star !

I came in on 3−1−14 as I had there new $ 10 off of a $ 50 purchase promotion.
I have never ever visited their deli counter, today it was well staffed with some very sweet/​kind/​efficient gals
I was open minded to almost anything & the lady .was telling the man in front of me, that this chicken breast was wonderful & a new product/​big seller
It was a Dearborn HomeStyle Chicken Breast. it was truly rich with flavor
also
Bought some Havarti with dill in it.
This lady was as kind as a grandma! and actually loved what she was doing.
I also hit the meat counter for some coarse ground, ground beef, as its works best for homemade meatballs, and a chuck roast no waiting & once again a sweet gal!
As I hit the home stretch, Guernsey has a rep in the store doing product demos for Mackinaw Fudge & Butter Pecan Ice Cream, oh my oh my, Ive had Guernsey milk & sour cream, but the ice cream is a show stopper for sure! Plus it was on sale 2 for $ 6
As I approached the checkout, as usual with Hollywood, there were at least 4 registers open, each with a bagger. Michelle rung me up & honored the promo & Jamie bagged the bounty.
