History

Established in 1995.

Hight & Randall, Personal Jeweler was established in 1995 and co-​owned by Leslie V. Randall, III (Randy) and Barbara Hight-​Randall. Randy has a background in retail jewelry management, owning L. Randall Jewelers in Edina, MN before meeting and marrying Barbara in 1995. Barbara’s background is in diamond and gem education as an instructor for the Gemological Institute of America, teaching throughout the US and abroad. She, also, worked for DeBeers, the largest diamond cartel in the world as a Regional Director for the Midwest prior to partnering with Randy in their own retail store. In 18 years their store has tripled in size, inventory choices and services.

Barbara has been an instructor in all areas of gemology for the Gemological Institute of America throughout the US and overseas; this experience expanded to the largest diamond cartel in the world, DeBeers. As their Midwest Marketing Director she shared her knowledge of gemology, and retail experience with jewelers around the world.

Barbara is co-​owner of Hight & Randall, Personal Jeweler, with her husband Randy Randall. Barbara is a title holder of the American Gem Society; holding their highest title of Certified Gemologist Appraiser. During her jewelry career she has been a presenter, instructor and keynote speaker for participants of national jewelry organizations, as well as, local service groups.

She is has served two terms on the national Board of Directors of Jewelers of America and is active in supporting local Rochester organizations.
