I sought out Hawn based on the recommendation of a trusted friend. I ultimately chose Hawn to remove our oil furnace and replace it with a natural gas after meeting with one of their sales persons. The communication was professional, friendly, and I didn’t feel pressured into buying a product I didn’t really need or want. The installation crew was very nice. I felt confident in their skills. I don’t know what else to say, the experience was just over all very good. I had to have a chimney liner installed, Hawn contracts that service and even those guys were very pleasant to deal with. Overall, I guess no one really WANTS to have to deal with furnace issues, but this was positive experience and if you have to buy a new furnace I would recommend Hawn.

My heat stopped working and I woke up to a 58degree house. Brrrr So I called my Uncle first to help me over the phone with no success. So I called Hawn. John, the technician, was very nice. He was able to figure out the problem and was in and out in an hour! $ 159 gladly spent.

Hot water heater died on Sunday and we had our new on demand installed by 3:00 on Tuesday. It would have been Monday but folks with no heat are a priority and I totally get that. Mike was awesome and went over every detail with us. The installers Doug and Chad were awesome too! We had no surprises and everything was installed and priced as explained. Mike even did my RG&E rebate for me. Thanks Hawn!

I can’t believe I forgot to write a review — until now. Maybe it’s because it’s the middle of winter and I am so thankful that my home is really warm now. Ok — short back story. I’ve lived in my house for almost 7 years now, and the boiler we had been here for about 50 years. It was well made obviously because it lasted so long, but it was definitely on its way out, and I wanted to intervene before I woke up one morning freezing, with frost growing on the windows. I did some shopping around, and decided to go with Hawn. Maybe it was the sales pitch. Maybe it was the way they answered all my questions. Maybe it was the recommendation from a friend. Either which way — I was going with Hawn. They also managed to secure me a really solid, reliable boiler before Carrier switched to a newer model that lacks a track record. I wasn’t actually home for the install, but my husband reports that they came in, did their job, took a short break for lunch, came back finished up, and CLEANEDUP when they finished. I think the basement floor is now cleaner than it ever has been. To get any kind of compliment from my husband is rare, so I can’t say enough for the work they did. They were professional, polite, and a pleasure to do business with. I would warn you that they aren’t cheap — you pay a little more for quality parts and service, but I am really pleased with the whole process, and look forward to doing business with them again. If you’re in the market for heating units or service, consider giving Hawn a chance.
