Sarah established Hands For Health in Mumford, NY, in the old Post Office in September of 2006. Hands For Health relocated to the Southview Commons in Brighton, NY (across from MCC) October 1st, 2013. Sarah Smith, LMT, Owner of Hands For Health has been a NYS LMT since October of 2003 and is an Alumni of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester, NY.

Sarah graduated from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester, NY on July 8th, 2003. She started her own practice, Hands For Health in September of 2006. She has taken continuing education courses in Orthopedic massage, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, and Matrix Energetics.

I paid a first visit to Hands for Health this week. When visiting a new spot for a massage, you never know exactly what to expect. I have always been lucky in this regard. Sarah and her facility are excellent in every respect. One can make assessment of Sarah’s experience and skills within the first few minutes. Sarah uses a variety of hand work, moves and massage styles to bring the body to a relaxed state. Sarah also manages pressure well. She used firm pressure exactly where needed. While I rarely fall asleep on a first massage visit, this was an exception. This is also a good sign.
This part is just between you and me. I’m not one that wants a lot of talk during a massage. Sarah makes the courteous opening comments and quietly does her magic. This is what I’m talking about!

I’ve purchased a bunch of massage Groupons to sample a few LMTs around The Roc and Sarah stands out, I think. My experience in doing this has shown some LMTs that seem to slack when using a Groupon. Sara worked hard the whole session and used thumbs, forearms and sometimes an elbow. I will be returning here.
