History

Established in 1922.

In 1922, Charles Giordano came to America from Sicily at the age of 24 and began working his trade in masonry and plaster in Rochester. He soon gained a reputation as one of the city’s best. This was the beginning of an attention to quality workmanship that he passed down over three generations. In 1972 –1977 Giordano became the #1 contractor in the renovation of Rochester’s historic Corn Hill District. Today, the Giordano’s focus is on educating people about the important considerations that should go into the specifications for a job, whether for a roof or anything underneath. They break the key issues down into four areas: Energy savings, Moisture control, Materials quality, and Technology. Knowing their customers will have to live with the consequences of their decision every day for many years, the Giordano brothers believe education is the way to make sure there will be no regrets down the road.

Anthony Giordano is a third generation roofer who climbed onto his first roof at the age of 10. He and his brother Dave took over the family business almost 30 years ago, with a wealth of experience and know how passed down from grandfather to father to sons. Knowing that most homeowners think a roof is just shingles and tar paper, Anthony seeks to educate people that a roof is in reality a complex system that requires careful consideration of energy bills, moisture control, materials selection, and technology.
