Dental health care services include: Removeable, fixed and implant retained teeth and dentures, Cosmetic dentistry including tooth colored (bonded) fillings, porcelain veneers, tooth lightening (bleaching), surgical extraction of wisdom teeth with moderate (IV) sedation, care for the anxious patient, care of the medically compromised (cancer patients, heart patients) and developmentally disabled patient. We have a pediatric dentist on staff for children. Wheelchair accesible. Bilingual (Spanish) staff. We accept many insurance plans including Medicaid. We have limited financial assistance available for patients unable to afford their care as well as a teaching program in which select patients are eligible for reduced fees. We have 247 emegency care available.

History

Established in 1967.

The Pluta Dental Center, originally located at the Genesee Hospital, relocated to Rochester General Hospital in 2001. Thanks to the generosity of the Pluta family and the Davenport Hatch foundation we continue to expand our services to the community increasing access to high quality oral health care.

Dr. Speisman, R.

Manager

Dr. Speisman has been Chief of the Department of Dentistry since 2001

He received his professional degree at New York University (DDS, 1978).

and did his residency at The Genesee Hospital GPR (1978 – 79)

He plays a key role in teaching I.V. sedation and practice management. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentists and a Diplomate of the Board of Special Care Dentistry and maintains a practice in general dentistry at the Pluta Dental Center.
