To be an agent or not to be? The real, and essential, meaning of being an agent is to be an advocate, a confidant, a servant-​leader. Yes, the big names on Zillow™ and Trulia™ ads, and copious pages of the real estate section in Saturday’s D & C, «close more deals» than the numerous realtors like me. However, we remain the core of real realtors. We see the client, not cash. We view our role not as a career for cash, but a calling. We are about helping dreams come true, listening to clients, treating them like friends. And happily never ever being a closer over your agent.

Dan bought his visit investment properties just a few years out of college, continuing throughout his teaching career. As a realtor who also owns a variety of his own investment properties. I am the youngest boy from a family of nine. My parents were truly special, raising six boys and three girls with love, patience, and wisdom. My five older brothers made certain that I was tough enough for any challenges that might crop up in careers such as education and real estate. My wife and I have a son, graduate student in medical research at University of Buffalo, and a daughter, an undergraduate in psychology/​education at Geneseo. My charming wife and I have been married since 1990. She is a reading specialist in the Churchville-​Chili School District.
