I bought a gas grill from Cricket many years ago and use it year round where I now live in MA. I contacted them when one of the parts wore out and they were happy to search their inventory for a replacement and shipped it to me the next day. Other stores might have said I’d have to buy a new grill but they seemed to value keeping their products going and certainly customer service. I’m most appreciative. Thank you.

Run away! These people have NO idea what they’re doing! When the original owner was still alive, this was evidently THE place to go for your fireplace needs. The son (I’ve repressed his name) is nothing short of an idiot. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth, has the social skills of a rock, and will take no responsibility for anything that might go wrong. Oh yeah, he’s wonderfully charming when you have a credit card in your hand. We hired these people to install a gas fireplace. Ultimately we found out that the install was gerry-​rigged, and not done to code. The plumber and electrician they recommended to install things we needed for the insert also gerry-​rigged everything. The system worked for the first year, but when we had someone else come to clean it for yearly maintenance, we were told that they would not touch the thing because it had been installed so poorly. We paid a whole other company to come out and redo EVERYTHING! Cricket took NO responsibility. Seriously, RUN AWAY! Do NOT even consider this place.

A curious store in Penfield, has a niche market in providing medium to high end supplies for your fireplace or heating stove. the use of wood stoves or fireplaces seems to fall into two uses, either for efficient heating or aesthetic ambiance, with the former being more prominent in upstate NY, and this place has a range or stuff for both.
If you shop around and compare details and features I suspect that you’ll find that this store is both a little higher priced than many and has better quality merchandise as well. If you are a home-​nester with specific needs or tastes this might be the place that has that unique item you’ve been looking for elsewhere.
