Fantastic service! As someone who has worked in customer service for many years along with working for quality companies, I expect the same when I choose to invest my time and money into a business. Just walking through the door of the shop, I felt welcomed. I was also pleasantly surprised to get a greeting from the shop’s sweet dog and puppy. Customer service was on point, the work done on my car was speedy and thorough, and the price was outstanding. I will be returning for car maintenance in the future!

I’d really like to rant about what pieces of crap American vehicles have become, but, since I had awesome service from Action Towing, I’ll talk about that instead.
My 2010 GMC Lemon broke down for the second time within the last six months. The service dept of my dealership was already closed, so I gave my insurance company (GEICO) a call and luckily I had roadside assistance on my policy. The GEICO phone rep was pleasant, and told me that Action Towing would be out within the hour. In my head, I was like F! (you get the actual word) I had just left Wegmans and had a pile of groceries in the car.
Anyhow, up to an hour ended being appx 5 minutes. Yeah, that quick. Having someone show up that quick helped save my groceries, my bladder (I had already dumped a wide mouthed bottle out of the car window in prep to pee when I saw the flatbed turn the corner), and it definitely saved my agitation level! When you’ve got a vehicle with only 70k miles on it, a break down can make you pretty made. But like I said, Action’s quick arrival and their driver that actually had a pretty funny/​cordial personality helped alleviate any anger I had towards my vehicle.

We have depended on Action Automotive & Towing Service for over two years now — for both major and minor service — and wish we had known about them sooner! Each person, from the Service Writers at the front desk, to the Automotive Mechanics/​Technicians and even the office staff that occasionally walks through the waiting area, has been courteous, personable and professional. Their diagnosis has almost always been spot-​on, and they have done their best to find ways for us to stay within our budget without compromising our safety or the safety of our vehicles. The quality of service has been exceptional, and we feel that, while their prices are somewhat competitive, they are fair. In addition, we have never felt pressured to purchase any service other than the service we need and/​or want — and the diagnosis and recommendations are explained in complete and easy-​to-​understand terms — which helps us to make educated decisions about the work to be done. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, with areas to either relax or work while waiting for the service to be completed. Coffee, tea, cold water and soft drink/​snack machines are on-​site, and they even have a separate room designated as a children’s play area, stocked with games and some toys! And while this is a nice amenity for parents and caregivers that need to bring their children along, it’s also a nice feature for those of us that need to work while waiting for our vehicles — everyone is happy!

Avoid this place! When a tire blew out on my car, my insurance company had my car towed to Action Towing. In addition to the tire, Action Towing recommended a brake job and replacing the oil pan gasket. I had not had any issues with oil leaks or braking, but went ahead with the work anyway. This was a very expensive mistake ($ 900).
Shortly after leaving Action Towing, my car smelled like burning and started dripping oil when I left it in the driveway. This was diagnosed as a likely oil pan leak by two other garages. When I returned to Action Towing to have this fixed, they looked at my car and claimed that there was no oil pan leak-​despite the opinion of the two other garages and the oil left in the driveway! Action towing ripped me off by charging me a lot of money for unnecessary and shoddy workmanship. Now I am left with the choice of driving around in a car that smells like burning oil or paying a couple hundred dollars to have the work redone by someone else.
They also charged me twice for my NYS inspection and overcharged for labor.
If you’ve been ripped off by Action Towing, you should file complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the DMV.
This is the worst mechanic experience I have ever had.

This garage is a total scam bait and switch! The firm was informed to tow the car after an AAA call to the dealership and instead towed to their establishment and repaired the car without owner’s permission. Now fighting to get the car back and a bill that is outrageous at best Stay as far away from this establishment as possible.

«This could not happen at a worse time.» Yup. Precisely.
Swung by the train station to pick the hubby up from a stressful visit with family. We had a very limited amount of time for him to quickly take a shower and grab something to eat before dashing off to work.
The car would not start. Stupid battery!
Called our insurance company’s roadside assistance. Thirty minutes later Carlos, from Action Towing & Service, arrived.
He was friendly, knowledgeable, and added a great sense of levity to the otherwise extremely stressful situation. Carlos had us laughing by the time his tow truck pulled out of the parking lot.

Charlie showed up quick, was extremely knowledgeable, professional and an all around American hero. I will use action towing from now on and recommend it to all my friends thanks to charlie
