This store has always been one of my favorite things about downtown Roanoke. When they moved to their new space around the corner, they definitely didn’t leave out any of their fantastic and unique merchandise. Half of the space is now a really interesting split-level area, they use the top for beading supplies and the bottom is for clothing. Yesterday I came in looking for something that they unfortunately did not have, but I couldn’t resist buying a really pretty handmade skirt and some sage leaves anyway. I also had a very pleasant conversation with their lovely owner, Glenna, who didn’t even blink an eye when my klutzy self accidentally spilled coffee all over the floor. I think a lot of people would write Seeds of Light off as just another«hippie store», but they really honestly do have so much more to offer. Apparently they also offer beading classes, if you are into that sort of thing. All in all, it’s a really nice stop on a Saturday if you need to take a second from the crowded market square to just relax and buy some quality incense or beautiful jewelry.
