Jacks is designed especially for men. We offer traditional barbershop services and more. Our concept is to bring back the old time barbershop experience and provide additional services required by today’s well groomed gentleman.

We offer haircuts, shaves, hand details, foot treatments, facials and more. Our valet services include shoe shines and dry cleaning drop-​off services.

History

Established in 2012.

Jacks opened August 20th, 2012 inside Davidsons Clothing for Men in Downtown Roanoke.

Probably the best place to get a haircut in Roanoke. All the stylists are friendly and it’s fairly easy to get an appointment. I’m very critical about how my car is cut and in particular I enjoy a good fade. They are able to do that here and are very thorough. They also offer beverages while waiting for your stylist and have TVs in the waiting area. Also they use a straight razor on the neckline (which is hard to come by).

I’ve looked high and low for someone to cut my hair in the manner that it needed to be cut. I have had either very poor hair cuts, or good haircuts from people who thought that they were doing me a favor when I was the customer. Both scenarios non acceptable.
When I was referred to Jacks I ventured there with a bit of scteptisism, but that totally vanished when I was greeted and was explained the system. Once I started going on a regular basis it was clear that their goal was to give me a proper haircut as well as treat me like a valued customer.
I will not go anywhere else.

Amazing service, great ambience and you are in great skilled hands. I got a full head shave, classic shave and brow wax. My skin hasn’t felt this soft in a long time. The excellent young woman who worked a miracle on me was Sarah. Looking forward to going back.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for! This place is awesome. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. Free (really really good) coffee while you wait.
I’ve been getting my hair cut by Sharon for almost a year now – she’s great! Very down to earth, and gives one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. +1 for online reservations.
P. S. Pay the extra few bucks and go for the classic cut. It feels like you’re in a warm cloud and you get your head massaged. It’s worth it.

Awesome place if you want to pamper yourself with great people. It was my first time there and was wonderful experience. Great interior and friendly people that feel like home and having haircut followed by neck massage was great!

Ok, so I’ve been blessed/​cursed with a larger than normal head and stuck to my big head is a pretty mean mane of hair prone to hedgehog-​like tendencies. I have warned every barber/​stylist I have ever been to that if cut too short, I develop an Asian afro. This place understands that. While my loyalties lie with my usual barber back in Northern Virginia, I think I’ve found my go-​to barbershop while serving out the rest of my prison sentence in Roanoke.
How can you go wrong with a scalp massage and hot towel to your face? Straight razor to clean up the neckline? Check. Choice of beverage with haircut? Yup. And this is one of the few places I’ve found that does a shoe shine. They also embrace our Skynet overlords and accept online reservations.

This place absolutely knows what good service is! They leave no stone unturned when it comes to completely satisfying their guest. So far I’ve had a haircut, two neck shaves, a brow wax and EVEN some dry cleaning and have been blown away by it all. I was thrown back at first by the large amount of female barbers, but these ladies know their craft! Also when offered coffee, TAKE IT! Best cup of coffee I’ve had downtown ever!

I don’t live in Roanoke but needed a haircut while visiting my sister who is an attorney in Roanoke. My brother in law suggested I go there. Very friendly … Wish I would have had time to check out the men’s shop that shares space with them… but I was in a hurry.
