This place isn’t horrible but it isn’t great either. The food was alright, but it seemed as though the food had been there a while. They didn’t have that great of a selection either. The waitress was alright but forgot to fill our drinks up sometimes. I also found dirty silverware almost every time I picked up silverware. The fudge was extremely sweet, too sweet actually. The ice cream would have been good but they didn’t even have sprinkles. one of ice cream’s most popular toppings. The only good food there was the rolls… but what more can you expect from a Golden Corral?

Cheap, clean, and fresh. What more could you want from a Golden Corral? Many other locations don’t turn the food quick enough to keep it fresh, but they did a great job at this location.

A great place for basic American food(with a touch of Mexican and Chinese) that is well prepared and flavorful. The variety is astounding and the quality is top notch. The cuts of steak and roast beef are not prime but choice to commercial but nevertheless tasty. Fish variety is moderate with about two to three species available with plenty of shrimp. Many vegetable choices that are not simple boiled but full of flavor. While not fancy, the food is basic home cooking and everything is prepared from scratch on premises. The fresh fruits and salad bar is excellent as is the enormous selection at the yummy desert section. There is a chocolate fountain for the kids or the kid in us. A great place for an inexpensive and fulfilling buffet experience that tops all other Roanoke area American food buffets by far. A person would be hard pressed(gluttonous) to attempt to eat a small serving of each and every food item offered. This place warrants numerous visits just to sample all of the things available.

What can you say about GC? It’s basically like going to the feeding trough and overeating yourself into oblivion. The food is cooked, it’s good, it’s hot, it’s plentiful, it’s cheap. Is it Gordon Ramsey gourmet? No it is not, but it hits the spot and you won’t be hungry when you leave. The only criticism i have is that sometimes it’s very crowded and you have to elbow your way into the trough. That can be very annoying and the reason i didn’t make it 5 stars!

We love this buffet and drive 15 miles to get there. The variety of food is wonderful and there is something for everyone. We only go once in awhile only because we eat way too much when we are there. For the price you can have all the steak or seafood you want. Where can you get that kind if value anywhere else???

This place is everything that is wrong with America. One look around and most of the patrons are spilling over their seats and their plates. While they take their fifth unnecessary trip to the fried chicken and taco bar. Blatantly skipping over the salad, even with the fattening dressing options. Awful restaurant. The food is positively disgusting. I can remember going here as a child and thinking it was great, but anyone with any sort of mature palette should stay away. It is general and bland, warmed over and shipped in. All you can smell is the body odor of the people you are pressed up against while you try to find a halfway clean spot on your table to put your forearm or hands. The booths we were sitting in were broken and shifting all around. The material is ripped. This place is low-rent and low quality. Run away as fast as possible.

I don’t know if there is much to say about Golden Corral except that it brings out the inner most gluttonous self out of me. Any location will do but I do like this Roanoke location. I’ve been to shady locations but the Roanoke one is typically clean and the service cordial. it’s perhaps nothing best in class but the variety is good. All the southern favorites from collards to pulled pork plus the fried chicken here is pretty darn good. The steak is decent but they tend to cook it more thoroughly so I go medium rare here. They also have a sauté seafood station which is nice. Couple this with fresh greens and I’m good to go. I normally tend to skip the dessert bar but lots of sweets if that’s what you’re into. My mom loves the fresh baked buns here. Our server this last outing, Alex, was such a treat. He brings such an enthusiasm that made eating here enjoyable. For a $ 10 meal with so much variety, Golden Corral is gluttonous fun.

Food food food. Buffet sytle and the staff are really nice and cater well. Place seems very clean as there was a ‘shark’ vacuum next to our table.
