Charles led the intro class today that my wife and I had the pleasure to take. He is EXTREMELY Good at teaching. Great attitude and the facility was great. They put you at ease. Whether you are a complete novice or expert, you feel right at home. Great atmosphere. We will be coming here again for sure!

These guys know their stuff without a doubt. They have the largest selection of high end gear that I’ve seen anywhere in the area.
The indoor and outdoor ranges are far superior to anything else around.
You might pay just a bit more than you would online, but it’s totally worth it to get to see, feel, and try gear before buying.

Outstanding program for kids, and experts in archery for adults whether you are a beginner or experienced archer!
I found Cinnamon Creek searching for something to do with my son that would be fun for both of us. We signed up for the beginner’s archery class and it was perfect. The instructors were very patient, knowledgeable, and made every shooter feel comfortable. An hour and a half later everyone was shooting balloons and having a fun competition trying to shoot the highest score, from moms to young kids.
I was hooked so I decided to buy a bow that I could shoot and then hopefully pass to my son if he remained interested. I literally walked in one day and told the person behind the counter what my goals were. Next thing I know I was being shown a few bows that fit my needs and allowed to shoot them. After finding the bow that felt the best to me that bow was then fit to me. The peep sight was adjusted, I was shown some releases and fitted for one, and then arrows. A great experience overall that took less than an hour!
Next I took my son to the Monday night kid’s league. This is the most incredible event for kids I have seen in sports. Charles, Brian, and John personally instruct each kid in the proper technique of archery with incredible enthusiasm for the sport with amazing patience. My son has gone from barely being able to hit the target to hitting multiple bulls eyes in less than six months! His confidence has grown tremendously because of these Monday night classes.
If you have any question whether Cinnamon Creek is for you, I recommend you give them a try. My only regret is I didn’t find them sooner!

Ive always enjoyed shooting at this range in years past. We visited the range for the first time this year to learn the price has gone up to $ 35 for the 3D targets and they have closed off The Woods section of the range. This was the best section in the summer as it gave some shade relief and still offered 3D targets. The only one 3D available now is the Creek and Trees course which lack longer shots at 3D targets compared to the Woods course.
the place is fine for kid parties and introducing newcomers to shooting. But not worth $ 35 for less shooting ranges than offered last year. Make sure you have a Groupon before you go.

Had them process two hogs for us, turned out great. Also bought a groupon and six of us came and had a blast in archery. Good staff, helpful with us newbies

Excellent birthday party with caveats
My son had been here a couple of times with the groupon deals and had asked for a birthday party here. I had heard from another mom who had attended at a guest it was a great birthday party. We had two nice young men help with the party and they were great with the kids. They seemed to really be giving the kids a lesson about technique as well as leading them through fun activities. Safety was a paramount concern and no issues there. I was impressed that they were able to work with kids as young as three.
Caveats:
Full disclosure: I’m not into archery or sports at all. Like zero. I do have a hospitality degree and worked in the foodservice industry for many years. So my perspective is that of host, not archery enthusiast. When I booked the party I estimated we would have about 20 people coming they explained the base party was for 10 kids but they could accommodate more folks and extra pizza for the non participating folks. So I booked the party for 10 a couple of months in advance. I called the Monday before the Saturday party and gave a head count of 11 adults 9 kids and I would be needing extra pizza. I arrived at the venue dropped of the cake and went back out in the parking lot to greet guests as it is not immediately evident where the party would be. There is a game processing facility, the archery facility (whose entrance does not face the parking lot) and the fenced outdoor arena that looks like another building. Confusing until you have been there before. While I was outside, one of the party hosts asked the inside party group if the 3 pizzas that came with the party was enough. My husband that does not think about things like that said yes. I’m unaware this exchange had taken place until the pizzas arrived and we have 3 pizzas (24 slices) and 20 guests. YIKES! It’s lunch time, it took everyone 30 minutes to get to this place, the party lasts 3 hours, and it’s a kids party… a beating in itself. I feel contractually obligated to feed folks a decent lunch as I have taken 4 hours out of their day. Luckily I had brought a rich cake that easily served 20 and they gave us unlimited canned sodas and bottled water. The adults are polite and don’t ask for second slices but the kids didn’t know any better. I was pretty mortified that I could only serve my guests one slice of pizza. Good thing I wasn’t trying to impress business clients or competitive moms.
Also, the activities are competitive. So there was some kid upset about «losing». None of the kids left empty handed, they all had candy or dollar bills that come out of balloons they pop with the arrows. Some got more than others. I think it’s good for kids to learn to mediate their feelings, but if you don’t want to deal with that at a party be fore warned.
Overall: the focus is on archery and they do that extremely well. I think my guests had a pretty good time. The facility is clean and comfortable on the inside. Everyone had a place to sit and the bathrooms were nice. I would book a party there again… but I would know to nail down the food order in specific terms next time.

I came over here after many suggestions to come here as I was told that the staff here is amazing. My bow was totally out of tune and not shooting correctly. Jeff at CCR totally took care of me and the issues I was having. He fixed my bow and even helped with my shooting stance.

The good. The place is very nice, good selection, they are a Hoyt dealer. I would describe it as first class. Only limited experience with the people working there, but they seemed pretty nice. The Bad. Expensive. I have tried twice to buy bows from them and they were at least $ 100 higher than other shops. On a $ 1500 bow they said MSRP or nothing. All other dealers I called were a little less. They told me they couldnt negotiate because Hoyt sets price. I called Hoyt and they said Dealers set their sale price. Im sure the little shop I have gone to is Happy. About 4k in two years, and all they had to do was write down the order and take money. Anyway, they have some good selections of equipment, but unless we are on our way to a tournament, its just cheaper to go to lancaster and wait a couple of days. The ranges are really nice, premium quality. Indoor and outdoors are both great,…But, practice time is a bit high. If you want to shoot with your kids, maybe get them into it for a sport, Texas Archery Academy is probably a better choice unless its way to far. We go to cinnamon creek for special events and as a treat to do something different. And their tournaments are fun, they know how to have an event. But can’t afford buying equipment or everyday practice with them. A side note. The Texas Archery Academy is in Plano and is a non profit and doesn’t sell equipment, but has lots of indoor and out shooting space, and going every day for practice and taking lessons doesn’t break the bank. I have seen lots of people in the group lessons also.

We had a great experience here. I needed some target archery lessons for my son. the instructor, Charles, could not have been better or more helpful. His emphasis was on helping my son enjoy the sport and have a good time. He had my son try different bows and arrows to find the best combination. My son learned a lot and had a great time. It’s an excellent facilty and shop. I highly recommend.

This is more of a warning than a review. We have been to this range before for the indoor ranges and all our experiences were fine. This time we bought the 4-​hour Groupon for the 3-​D outdoor course for $ 40. When we got to the building, one of the guys helped us get set up and showed us the basics of how to shoot and told us to let them know when we wanted to go outside. We shot a couple rounds indoors and let the guys know we were ready to go outside. They told us to leave a credit card and head on out, nothing more. We headed out, had a good time shooting, and came back in after 2 hours (the Groupon covers up to 4 hours and about 30 targets, but we’re just not into it enough to shoot for that long). Over the course of those 2 hours, we had broken/​lost 5 of our 8 arrows. We saw a number of broken arrows, so we knew we weren’t the only ones in that situation. Also, when the arrows are black and green, they blend in really well with the dirt and grass.
When we got back in, we were informed that it would be $ 10 for each lost/​broken arrow, for a total of $ 50 out of pocket that day. You could tell the guy felt bad and offered us a 2-​for-​1 range coupon for next time, but it didn’t make the $ 50 any easier to bear. No one had mentioned that we had to pay for each broken/​lost arrow, and while we figured it would cost something, we weren’t expecting $ 10/​arrow. While the experience was fun, and the people were nice enough, when you’re just going out to have a good time, a total of $ 90 for an afternoon of archery is far too expensive, and it almost had the appearance of a scam. Hopefully this will serve as a warning to others who want to go — those lost/​broken arrows are expensive!

This place is awesome!
The staff is professional and clearly know to instruct a novice how to shoot and how to make experienced shooters, better. In addition to the training range, they have one large indoor range, a smaller instruction range and a large wooded area stocked with animal targets. They rent and sell equipment as well. Really, really had a great time.

My boyfriend had been wanting to get into archery. We currently live near Philly so we tried the local archery range there which was a terrible experience. I figured Texas would have much better options and I was so thrilled to find that Cinnamon Creek Ranch did not disappoint!
I love that you can rent bows here! It was our first ever experience shooting arrows and the guys at the shop were very friendly and knowledgeable and never once made us feel like we were idiots. My boyfriend ended up buying a bow and a dozen arrows and they are shipping it up to us in PA!
If you’ve ever wanted to try the sport of archery, Cinnamon Creek Ranch is definitely the first stop you want to make!

I had no idea this place existed until a Groupon offering a 4-​hour shooting session for two popped up. I am not ashamed to admit that I wanted to go pretend I am Katniss from The Hunger Games, so I jumped at the offer.
I was definitely nervous that there would be big, burly men who were irritated by two girls showing up hoping to shoot things, but they were incredibly nice. Gunther set us up with bows, showed us how to shoot, and spent time with us helping us correct our form. In fact, every employee we talked to was super friendly and they were all just happy we were as geekily excited as we were.
The best part was definitely going outside to shoot on the course called The Zoo. It’s like walking into a gorgeous forest that just happens to have giant foam animals for you to shoot at. We had a ton of fun walking through the beautiful landscape and shooting at things. We also walked past the equally beautiful creek to the courses there, but by then the previous slight drizzle had decided to turn into actual rain, forcing us back inside. Not a problem though, they have a huge indoor arena where you can practice shooting long distance — very fun.
The land this range is set up on is beautiful, the employees are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the sport itself turned out to be ridiculously fun. The non-​Groupon prices are a little scary, but I’m sure I’ll be back — especially since they have ladies nights for $ 10!

So, my wife has been wanting to try archery for awhile (yes, even BEFORE the Hunger Games!), so since this place was close by, we thought we’d give it a shot (get it?). The facility seems pretty huge, with outdoor and indoor ranges, pro shop and whatnot. We have only been at night, so I haven’t seen the outdoor range yet (a buddy said it was cool… targets-​in-​the-​creek kinda thing). It was $ 67 for two bows, range fee, targets and 2 hrs of time. Kinda pricey, but worth it for the free lesson we got.
When you go, ask for Ryan if you want some free lessons. This guy is a competitive shooter and really knows his stuff. He was very friendly and you can tell he is passionate about archery. He let us try compound and recurve (old school) bows.
We had a great experience and we will probably go back to purchase our own bow at some point.
