Had dinner tonight to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Had a bit of wait due to the number in the party but it was SOWORTHIT! The owner was our server and clearly customer service is important to him! Food was phenomenal — had bento box special and the avocado salad had so many yummy flavors! All of the other dishes and appetizer at the table smelled and looked amazing too and the meal was topped off with fried bananas with a birthday song. Will definitely be back!

Picked up dinner here last night– glad I did, about 15 people waiting for a table. The owners have installed a heater outside so that those waiting could be warm and dry, but enjoyed bypassing those waiting and taking our your sushi with us. Amazing sushi, yummy shumai shrimp dumplings. Café Asia never disappoints!

Best Asian food in the Valley, PERIOD! Anything you order will be a delight. Swift and courteous service and they seem to packed nightly. I am a jew from New York and we are bred to do two things 1) get the best deal possible and 2) Eat cuisine from the Far East.

The best sushi in Roanoke! The staff is always welcoming and the fish is fresh. They have a large variety of other Asian foods on the menu too along with daily specials. Been coming here for 2 years when in town on business and will continue to visit.

My favorite restaurant in Roanoke. Best tasting sushi I’ve ever had. Best tasting pad Thai I’ve ever had. Excellent service and atmosphere too! I go at least once almost every week!

Checked in for dinner on New Year’s day. This restaurant offers a hip, clean, modern atmosphere to enjoy delicious and fresh sushi. The food was absolutely delicious! I had sushi The service was excellent. I appreciated that hot towels were offered at the beginning of the meal and at the end of the meal. Our server offered personable friendly service. Very professional and knowledgeable of the menu. Willing to go the extra mile. I am not from Roanoke but I can’t wait to get back here to come try some of their other dishes.

I have regularly ordered takeout fr CA2 for the last 2 years and have made countless General Tso chicken orders(plus a variety of other dishes so that my totals are always $ 30+, and we tip). Tonight, I ordered Gen Tso and was disappointed when I found 8 pieces of chicken and 15 pieces of broccoli. Never have I encountered this ratio. Every other time the box has been stacked with chicken, with a few broccolis buried underneath. I called for the first time to complain tonight. I explained the situation to the woman who answered and she assured me that the order was wrong and that she was going to credit me. However, she placed me on hold and I was addressed by the manager. Long story short, he told me that ratio was standard and said there would be no refund. After I explained my long term patronag, the frequency I ordered this dish, and how the woman I spoke with admitted such a ratio was incorrect, he said he would consider a partial refund. After I said don’t worry about it and that I would go elsewhere for my Chinese food, he said«Are you finished talking?». I said so long and will never come back.

Our Chinese exchange student says this is the closest to real Chinese food she has found in Roanoke so far. We tried it and loved it the food was great quality and flavor. The menu has lots to choose from and the service was great. When we go back we will try the sushi. I’m looking forward to exploring the menu. They encourage reservations and the prices range from $ 6 to $ 30.

The BEST place for sushi and Chinese food. The food always seem fresh. The owner is very customer service oriented and runs a tight ship. Great sushi menu. My favorite is the Rock and roll, spicy scallop, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura. Dinner wise, the Thai seafood fried rice and generals chicken are my go to. The lunch specials are also reasonably priced($ 7 – 9). Beware though– dinner time can get crowded.

Dinned here with my parents. Excellent customer service and colorfully lighted presentation of the sushi dishes. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Nicely decorated interior. Fair prices.

Great rolls, good service. However, I don’t understand why it takes FOREVER if I order beef phở. I’m talking about almost an hour on avg.

Their pad thai was horrible. It tasted like Ketchup instead of tamarind peanut goodness. This place also does not know how to do spicy. On the plus side, if you don’t like spicy food or food with any type of flavor then this is the place to go. I will not be going back. I did not try their sushi or phở, so I can’t comment on that.

I had been a fan of this establishment until today. As a vegetarian I have always been able to order cashew tofu instead of cashew chicken from the lunch menu. During today’s visit I was told that I couldn’t substitute tofu in any luncheon dish. The only vegetarian options for luncheon special is vegetable lo mein or vegetable fried rice. At that point I ordered the lo mein. Since I was being treated to lunch I did not want to order from the dinner menu as I was being urged to do by the waiter. I would also like to say that in no way shape or form did I take an attitude with the server. The lo mein arrived and it was ok but nothing special. It wasn’t prepared with actual lo mein noodles, it appeared to be vermicelli. My lunch companion ordered some sort of sushi roll and while she had enjoyed the roll there in the past she felt that the roll she received today was subpar. For the entire meal I had to ask for refills while my lunch companion was asked if she would like her beverage refilled. She was asked if her meal was pleasing etc. while I continued to be ignored. I expect that I had bothered the server by asking for tofu. In light of the poor treatment I felt that I received as a lunch patron who wanted a vegetarian meal other than fried rice or lo mein I do not expect that I will return to this establishment.

My husband and I went there for the second time last night since we moved here to Roanoke. We had been saving it for a special occasion and it was well, well worth the wait. It was 5pm on a Sunday when we went and the place was about half full and we were seated promptly. I am glad we went at 5pm because the place was packed(and it appeared some were waiting for a table) when we left at quarter to 6pm. My husband had a mango bubble tea and I settled on the Fuji apple sake. Do yourself a favor and try it – it’s sweet without being cloying(and the little bottle it’s served in looks a bit like the Stanley Cup which is always a +1 in my book). We didn’t stray from what we had ordered the first time: I had the pad Thai with tofu and my husband had one of the sushi specials(forgive me, I can’t remember exactly what it was). I can’t speak for my husband but he happily devoured his. My pad Thai was perfect and the thin, long ribbons of carrot that was served along side was not only pretty, but added a really great texture to an already great dish. We spent about $ 50 and every penny was well worth it.

Good food, good service, eclectic menu. The sushi has always been good. My wife loves the chicken fried rice. I usually order the Phở but it’s only okay. The broth needs more star anise to qualify it as authentic Phở.

Love, Love, Love this place! Everything that I have tried is fantastic! Always busy, but never a problem getting a table. Also, the service is wonderful, as the owner has come over to speak to us each time we’ve been there. I recommend trying the grilled calamari as an appetizer.

Went on a Sunday evening… the restaurant wasn’t crowded and service was great. There was a little bit of team work Bc my glass water was refilled by 2 different people(if there would of been a crowd I don’t think it would of been like that though) other then that the food was really good. The environment was clean and fancy. The owner and staff were all very courteous and they ALWAYS greet you when you walk in and before you leave. This is a top spot for Sushi and the fried rice.

Favorite Asian restaurant in Roanoke. The menu has a variety of choices. All so satisfying. The restaurant is small so you may have a wait, but we were promptly seated and given warm wash cloths to clean our hands. My brother ordered phở and enjoyed it. My mom and sister ordered egg drop and hot/sour soup and split lettuce wraps(very good!). My dad ordered beef and broccoli. Great flavor and filling. My sister loved the soup so much she ordered another bowl. I ordered the green beans and fried rice. Loved the garlic flavor. Not overcooked like other places. The portion was large so I had leftovers. I can’t wait to return on my next visit.

I went on a Saturday night which was super busy but we were seated immediately at two open spots at the bar. Service was very quick and we even got a free small salad appetizer. Sushi was very tasty and fresh for being located in Southwest VA. Entrees were delicious as well as large proportioned. Prices were really quite reasonably for the amount of food we got. Presentation was also amazing and intricate. Highly recommend
