I’ve been tattooed by Katie a few times and she does amazing work! I also had my nose pierced here as well. Best place in Roanoke!

For years I have come to this tattoo studio for jewelry and to have tattoos FIXED. I’ve also gotten some great original art that I’m in love with! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and only impeccable art comes from here, whether it be an incredible piercing or breathtaking tattoo. I’ve been to many places in the area and after many first visit to Asylum, I’m SOLD. Best in the valley, no questions asked.

Their studio is very upscale and clean. I have had 3 piercings there and was very pleased, but I got a tattoo and was pleased at first. However, it hasn’t been six months since I’ve had it done and now it is faded and smudged. I have other tattoos done by another studio and they look much better the the one from Asylum. The outline is not clean and the ink is blotchy. I would recommend them for piercings but NEVER for tattoos.

Nicest, down to earth people. The piercer is clean and a joy to be around. His sense of humor made me feel very comfortable and calmed my nerves when getting my nose done. We were skeptical to come because some reviews said they were rude but I absolutely disagree. Awesome shop, awesome people, awesome experience.

The piercing department has over 25 years of combined experience, and APP education certification. All jewelry used for piercing is highest quality material grade, internally threaded, and autoclaved to ensure cleanliness and sterility. Tattoo’s are primarily done by appointment, but walk-in’s/call ahead clients are absolutely welcome & fit in whenever availability permits. We do require a deposit to set an appointment to protect our artist’s time and the studios overall productivity.
Piercing’s are generally done on a walk-​in basis, which does occasionally produce a wait on busy days and weekends.

Took my 17 year old daughter in for a ear-​piercing. Was so impressed by Morgan, who did the piercing. He was amazing! Definitely put us both at ease with his humor, experience and patience. He will be leaving in July so if you need something done I would recommend you get in there before he is gone.
