History

Established in 2011.

Originaly, in 1971 my mother & father, Virginia and Salvatore felice started ceramic’s as a hobby. By1977 they decided to turn it into a business, and called it Ginger’s Ceramics. Unfortunately in March of 1978 just before the business opened my father passed away, we decided to put the business on the side and just do ceramic’s for personal use. In1995 a Craft business called Ben Franklin was in search of a ceramic supplier and we agreed to supply them with christmas trees, urns, vases and seasonal ceramics and we did so until they closed their business. In Nov 2009 my fiancé’s mother passed away and the funeral director was looking for handpainted urns, he asked us if we would be intrested in making urns. This was when we started Elegant Inspiration Urns. In 2011 we started our web-site store www.elegantinspirationurns.com. We also decided to expand with a full line of Ceramic Pet Urns called Bow’s & Meow’s. We have artist rendered Ceramic cat pet urns and ceramic dog pet urns.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Hello i’m the owner of www.elegantinspirationurns.com. I take care of all of the ceramic slip casting of the molds, preparing the greenware for final step before kiln firing process begins approximately 8 hours to fire greenware, then it sits in kiln until the temperature reaches approx. room temp before taken out the of kiln. Once the greenware is fired to approx. 2000 degrees it is now called bisque. It is then handpainted with glazes or textures or both. The painted urn product is then fired once again in a kiln with slightly less heat still extremely hot for another 8 hours until the next morning to take out of the kiln. Some urns our done others go thru one more firing before they are finished and ready too be sold to our customers. I have a very high standard of quality control for our urns„ if it does not meet my quality standards, it does not get shipped out and not sold. We also have a sister web-site at www.ceramicpeturns.biz that we maintain and add new products.
