First to review. Kick ass.
I thought this place was going to be a lot worse than it was, I really did. Sure it isn’t a five star resort, but on a budget this place worked.
The Pros — I only reserved a room for two people. Had 3 and the guy running
the place didn’t seem to care. Beds were decent and didn’t seem to be sperm infested like a lot of other budget motels. Carpet also didn’t seem to have been pissed on. Bathroom had a good amount of space and filled with all the complimentary soaps and shampoos that were promptly placed in my bag and taken home. Good amount of storage as well, but who actually uses that in a motel?
The Cons — The room itself seemed to have too many things crammed in it. I woke up in the morning and only had about two feet of space between the bed and dresser. Yup, I kicked it. The walls are VERY thin. Heard a nice conversation between the couple next to us that liked to use the phrase «fuck you» a lot. The other room next to us had about 8 people in it. Although I did not know them, volume concerns for their neighbors were guaranteed not to be on their list of things to worry about. The continental breakfast sucked. I thought about getting a waffle but the amount of burned and crusted waffle batter around the waffle iron and surrounding area made me trust my gut and avoid it. I elected to have a stale muffin and a warm glass of milk. The manager was a little too friendly in the morning, yelling about how great of a day it is. On a hangover, not what I wanted but he had good intentions so I won’t hold it against him.
Bottom line, if you are driving through and need a room to crash for the night and want to save some cash, this place works.
