History
Established in 2005.
Alpha Sigma Omicron was established in the Winter of 2005 at the University of California, Riverside by fifteen students who all had the same goal: becoming a part of the professional health industry.
The Fraternity is based on the foundations of trust, loyalty, brotherhood/sisterhood, and friendship. All of our resources and abilities are focused towards helping each other achieve our personal goals of working in the health field. To this day, Alpha Sigma Omicron is the first and only pre-health co-ed Fraternity at UC Riverside.
Meet the Manager
Jonathan P.
Manager
Jonathan Phung is the lead educator and director of UCR ASO CPR. He believes that anyone can learn CPR and everyone should! Established in 2013, Jonathan has since helped our program certify hundreds of students, nurses, doctors, Clinical Care Volunteers at Riverside Community Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente Care Ambassadors. Jonathan is currently pursing his Neuroscience B.S. at UCR and his EMT certification at UCLA in order to enhance his skills as an educator with real field experience. After volunteering on two mission trips to Honduras with Global Public Health Brigades, Jonathan’s passion for educating underserved communities has assimilated into his role as an instructor. When Jonathan is not teaching people how to save lives, he enjoys sports, fitness, and music.
